  1. Looks like public storage, with a fake facade.
  2. I think it is very unfortunate that this section has no retail on the ground floor. Also zero affordability, but you wont hear anything from the NIMBYers that said Woven wasn't "affordable enough"
  3. 76 Market Rate Apartments proposed for House of Prayer Strip Center. (Two Stories) Heading to DRB
  4. Why would you lose revenue? They wont be building on Pendleton. Think about all the workers on site that will be needing full bellies!
  5. I understand demo permits have been applied for the House Of Prayer Strip Center! Stay tuned.
  6. I spoke to the owners of the Family Legacy building. Family Legacy is not leasing the space any longer because they plan to occupy the entire building because they need the space. Just an FYI.
  7. half the building has been empty for over 10 years. Thats the threshold I think.
  8. It is about halfway complete. We were never provided renderings. It will look like the other side of the street. Vans Chocolates has closed for good. That space is now available.
  9. This map is incorrect. The parcel to the left of the building was .8 acres and was owned by the church. It was recently sold for $500k. They have a deal with the city to repave the parking lot and to bring some additional free parking online.
  10. The commercial corridor in West Greenville - the Arts district - Is The Village of West Greenville" or just The Village. People do refer to it as The West Village, West End Village, etc. Just will take time to get people to understand the proper term and the difference between West End and The Village of West Greenville. https://www.villagewgvl.com/
  11. It is my understanding that earlier before tonight's meeting they already voted. County Council voted 8-4 against the motion to break the development contract and halt the redevelopment of county square. They also voted 6-6 against the idea of including the relocation of the county office building off the site as well.
  12. It is my understanding that the $33 million dollar price tag for the Flour buildings included the value of the long term lease the county would sign and a large TI upfit, and the rent. If you were buying a fully leased, upfited(this tenant improvement allowance would be offered as part of the lease) long term 200k+ sf building it would probably fetch that price. If that is true, I dont understand why that fact hasn't been more apparent in the description of that transaction.
  13. Yes, they did not review anything out here. Which has helped in establishing a little bit of a "village vibe". Best quote I heard on a city visit to Austin. We were taking a visit of East Austin. The tour guide said, "The city decided to give "East Austin to the artists and got the HELL out of the way." The Village does not need to look like main street. But on another visit to Wynwood we spent some time with the leadership there and they explained the importance of https://wynwoodmiami.com/ their Business Improvement District that all but operated their own DRB. To make sure there is buy in on what is happening. For example, body art(tattoo parlors) are not allowed in the Village. But the BID could agree that we wanted one and it fits in here, so we vote it is ok. They also spoke of certain elements like, if you cant make the parking requirement for occupancy, or you want to break the 2 story height limit, they allow up to 4 stories, but for every additional story you have to give (for example) up to $100,000 into the BID. The BID can then vote to use this money for things like added police, infrastructure, etc.
  14. So they are going to put 14 residential parking spots where there building sits currently? I take it these will be reserved spots and not for retail parking....
  15. I said I heard it was McDs. I must have been wrong.
