  1. Yeah, having an interstate/highway connecting directly to Broadway sounds like a bad idea.
  2. Looks like Dallas 2.0 , but with automated cars/buses.
  3. But then the people that vote against the light rail transit complain about traffic...
  4. Wow, Nashville's looking dense! Imagine 10 years from now.
  5. They can still use the race track... It's not like they're demolishing it.
  6. Yeah, I wouldn't mind some buildings near the stadium in general. It seems so vacant in that area.
  7. Fifth and broad is going to help with the infill. If only we can some how connect downtown and soboro without demolishing the buildings on broad. It'll be cool if we can get some proposed buildings near the stadium to balance out the skyline.
  8. That sucks that the korean bakery didn't make it. The location probably wasn't that great, and most of the asian population lives in Nashville, Clarksville,Henderson, and Rutherford county. It'll probably do better now in Murfreesboro or the other locations listed. I agree, those restaurants are amazing, but I recently moved to Dallas for work.
  9. can't wait for the area near the MCC to fill up. It probably won't be until the early 2020s.
  10. Oh yeah, I forgot about those two. I live in Dallas now, so I'm a little behind. But I visit every month or so.
  11. That's sad, if we're going to compete with other major southern cities, a mass transit system is needed. Unless we widen the main interstates that contains heavy traffic. Similar to Dallas and Fort worth, but we'll still need a transit system regardless. Even though Dallas still has crappy traffic, the infrastructure isn't that bad. It's somewhat better than "ATL", just a little. Speaking of interstates and highways we can implement a toll way system for I-24 and I-65. Meanwhile we could build an elevated highway in conjunction with the toll way. Having an outer 440 would be nice too. It can connect with the toll ways, old 440, and the elevated highways for I-65 N/S and I-24. But, I'm not a civil engineer, just a lowly mechanical engineer.
  12. I was hoping to bring hmart here or ninety nine ranch market. I been thinking of an area to bring those franchises here.
  13. Yeah, agree. I was thinking of an economics stand point from all the bachelorette parties and tourism. It will supplement well with those two factors, but bring in a lot negative aspects too.
  14. Yeah, but hopefully we get unique asian restaurants like the ones in Dallas, and Atl. Or at least more of a variety of different types of hot pot restaurants and korean bbq. For example: [The breakers (there's one in ATL , Dallas, etc.) , Iron age, Honey Pig "Korean self serve BBQ" ] Or an chinese/korean bakery like "Sweet hut or Mozart" (Sweet hut is located in ATL and Mozart in Dallas) Or asian style tea cafe's like Kung fu tea(mostly east coast and most major cities), and tea house( Located in Houston). Or Kura a japanese style/owned revolving sushi restaurant. I do notice that they're starting to introduce unique restaurants in Murfreesboro like Saibadee(Thai/viet/Lao food), Top one Rolled ice cream (thai rolled ice cream, and coffee fusion (which has pho, viet style subs, and a mini asian bakery). If you guys ever want to try something new those places are pretty good. They're off medical center. I think Murfreesboro might end up looking like korea town in Carrollton, TX and Gwinnet county in ATL. Clarksville has a bunch of korean restaurants and self serve bbq places too but it's a little out there.
  15. Yeah, I agree with Pdt2f. I wouldn't mind having a casino outside the area.
  16. We're allowed to bet on horse racing and lotteries. Kind of ironic, but having one specific building only for gambling would be cool. I never understood the reasoning behind the nick name Nashvegas if we don't have any gambling available.
  17. I hope we get more Asian restaurants in the near future. And I'm not talking about chinese buffets either lol. More like korean bbq, dim sum, and vietnamese restaurants etc.
  18. Since a lot of there's a lot tourism in Nashville wouldn't this be a good supplement with "the diner" and "broadway"? Also with the influx of bachelorette parties wouldn't it increase tourism and the economy?
  19. I'm not really sure about the underground tunnel portion of the plan. It seems a little too "extra". Maybe an alternative?
