    have there been any further announcements? i know there are still open areas in the outlet mall and they are selling the lots on the corners of the mall for restaurants. have any of those been purcchased?

    Yea. That's true. But there's also been a lot of growth in saline county since that time. I think a DQ would do well in Bryant

    The same group that is developing Hilton garden inn was also talking about building a holiday inn express in downtown. Has there been anything said about that recently?

    Yeah. It does seem kind of odd. Their current stores in NWA must be doing really well. I just really hope Bryant gets one. They would definitely get a huge return out of it.

    Dairy Queen is beginning to make its entrance into more of Arkansas. They say that 1/5 of their new stores across the country will be in Arkansas. 20 stores are to be added in Northwest Arkansas and 12 in central Arkansas. Hopefully one or two of those locations is in Benton/Bryant.

    There haven't been many announcements for this area lately. Any new stores at the outlet mall or around the center? Or any plans for new things other than the movie tavern?

    The old gas station beside mi ranchito in Bryant has been torn down. What's going in there?

    Arkansas Business released an article saying that there is talk of putting toll roads called "HOT lanes" between little rock and Benton.

    Heard somewhere that Panda Express purchased land north of the outlet mall. Hope this is true. Panda Express still hasn't hit central Arkansas.

    In my previous post, I talked about the new road being constructed from Raymar to mills park Rd. That was false. The road is going to go from Raymar to south of Hill Farm elementary. The road is going to be called Bryant Parkway. Mayor Jill Dabbs said that this new road should lead to both commercial and residential developments. Also, there are plans for two new fire stations in the city. And a park north of i30

    What's the building going up between cavendars and dave and busters?

    There's still stores vacant in the outlet mall. One or two large stores are open. Have there been any announcements of new things opening in the whole area?

    Just saw somewhere that said it would go in the old Sears building on university.

    I read somewhere that said Costco was searching in little rock. I feel like west little rock or gateway town center would be the best places to put Costco. There isn't a for sure plot of land where it will be built, but gateway town center was a place tossed around as a good location.

    So have there still not been any announcements for magic springs. They are closing the wild thang and dr deans rocket machine. They really need something new to make up for this.

    The Raymar road overpass will soon have its own on and off ramp (exit). A road has already been built connecting hwy 5 and the bridge. Now, I think there is work across from mills park that will connect to that road. Hopefully this new exit will spur growth on that side of town.

    Hopefully if the river cruises on the Mississippi do well they will consider expanding on the Arkansas. They could do Tulsa, fort smith, and little rock.

    Well there is still a Sears in NLR at McCain. I know it's not in little rock but close enough. Hopefully that one will close too and draw in a good store for that area. Nordstrom is really needed somewhere in the metro.

    Hopefully something new to the market will locate there. It's a good location.

    The Dave and Busters has announced an opening date of June 1. The converse store and Starbucks have announced to open in May. Any ideas on any other development in this area?
