  1. Can someone mark on these photos where we expect this to top out at? Thanks!
  2. That could be the case. It was very busy and I know its only been about 3 weeks since they opened. I also have a pretty high tolerance for spicy food so that may explain why I thought it was more bland. I'm sure I'll be back though. There was a lot on the menu I'd like to try and maybe lunchtime is the best time to do it.
  3. Report back from Co: It was just OK. I had high hopes for Co and really wanted to like it. The menu looked amazing and the interior had a great vibe, but the overall experience was just meh. I got their jalapeño margarita (2 actually) - I'd recommend them. Also tried the chicken wonton's for a starter. They were good but very small. Our waiter recommended the curry laksa as their specialty dish but it came out about 45 minutes after I ordered it and was bland and lukewarm. My wife ordered one of the sushi dishes and said it was good, but nothing special. I'm not writing Co off completely, and maybe it was opening month hiccups, but this wouldn't be very high on my "must go" list.
  4. Cellar is its own experience and very different from Duckworth's (in a good way). It's got an old-time speakeasy feel with great drinks and solid food. I'm hoping it flies under the radar for a while. Not loud, not pretentious, just a great place to relax, have a drink and enjoy a good conversation. I'm also planning to head to Co tonight. I'll report back with my thoughts.
  5. So how do we actually go about demanding this and creating change? I'm lighting my torch and grabbing my pitchfork now - just tell me where to go.
  6. I thought I'd bump this up to see if anyone had any news. From the agenda article this morning on the theater hotel it looks like there's some activity specific surrounding the library/spirit square redevelopment: "Right next door, plans are already in the works to redevelop Spirit Square and the Main Library" Not sure if anyone had any insight or updates on specific plans.
  7. Greetings all! Longtime reader/lurker here and figured it was time to join the fray. Article on CA today about First Ward future development: https://www.charlotteagenda.com/29420/first-ward-park-is-open-heres-whats-next-for-the-neighborhood/ From the glowing praise you guys give Levine around here, what is a realistic timeframe for some of these projects to come to fruition? I know that's not an easy question to answer, but Levine seems to think its his time to start building.
