Love the progress!! I hope that the high speed rail line runs through the station. It would be huge for that area and downtown in general if it became a high speed rail hub. Please post more pics if possible!!

Just a question, what is the square footage of dominions current tower?

To many buildings with "James" in them, makes them to hard to remember. Also I agree that we maybe getting alittle to excited about the height of this tower. However, if this building does reach around 30 stories, it could encourage some mid and high rise development in Monroe ward(notice all the parking lots).

I would hope, if they want to stay on schedule we should be getting an update in the next couple weeks.

Wow you guys made renderings of a Manchester ballpark? That is awesome and I still truly believe that Manchester is the best place for a ballpark. That would be awesome if u could make something showing the scale of this project. It would also be cool if u could make one for the proposed dominion skyscraper.

I would think it would be taller than both those buildings. It would be a huge disappointment if it was that short seeing how, the height of the aep building is only 7 ft taller than the Monroe building.

Yeah we heard about these plans and it looks as if this could really be the beginning of a southside skyline. However if anyone wants to make renderings or drawings of what they think these towers should look like, that would be appreciated.

I love the design of the building but it would be cool if there was a design that added to add some height. I think this is very similar to what dominion will do, just hope it gets up to about 600 ft

Having other tenants would be a great way to add floors. With the addition of multiple tenants, the tower could could easily meet expectations. Also with the addition of this tower, we could see some high rise development in Monroe Ward.

I think dominion could build a taller tower if they built it taller than needed so they could always grow Into the space. Until then, they could lease out the unused space to smaller companies which could add some extra stories to the tower or towers.

I don't think it will be that short due to the fact that dominion is the largest energy provider in the mid Atlantic, so I don't think that it will be 450, however I don' t think with all the information that has been put on here that the tower will reach 600 ft. 35 stories and 550 ft sounds more realistic.

Idk if dominion vacates their current building, then the tower could go up to about 40 stories. If not it will probably be about 35.

They should be coming out with some preview or rendering in the next couple weeks seeing how it's been about 6 months since they first announced it. Love how they used "massive" to describe it though.

I live on the south side and we are also excited about a new wegmans. Huge growth though on west broad and from the way short pump is being developed, it could surround 288 by the end of next year. Also has their been any new news from the southside of the river?

I have also heard that after the new building is completed, dominion will move their employees to the new Richmond plaza site and rebuild one James river plaza. Idk if that will happen, but it would be nice to have two new towers in the skyline.

Hi, I have been following Richmond development for about a year but have just joined urban planet. I don't think Richmond will ever pass Charlotte or philly, but this tower could easily be the tallest tower from Philly to Charlotte.
