  1. Can't wait 'til this thing is built! I am going to enjoy watching the progress. My job involves driving around Nashville and I go by there a few times a night. Just a bunch of dirt and some equipment last time I saw it.
  2. This area is gonna blow up in development. There was a 265? I am confused. How can that be?
  3. Everytime I go through the back way into the gulch (Gleaves to Pine street) I think that the corner of Gleaves and Pine begs to be developed, either into a park or a building.
  4. Anthem is a popular EDM venue (it's at the corner of 12th and Porter) as is the Bridgestone Arena (Bassnector New Years Eve extravaganza) I saw Zed's Dead at Anthem last summer, it was pretty sweet.
  5. I've heard whispers that Deja Vu is going to be no more, can anyone verify this? This has been an inevitability but I don't believe I've actually heard confirmation that this will happen.
  6. To me, "Brentioch" is anything between nipper's corner and Antioch city limits. Nipper's corner is still Brentwood. I too remember it being next to nothing. I have an aunt that lives on Frontier Lane. They bought their house when theirs was the only subdivision and everything else was fields. It's frustrating explaining to people where I live so sometimes I just say Brentioch, if "Tusculum" doesn't ring a bell.
  7. Perfect place for it is near the Ashland City Hwy exit of Briley parkway. Interstate, Rail, River.
  8. Any official word on any development on Division between the best western and the interstate? A guy who lives right behind those ugly buildings informed me that they're going to be razed and replaced by even more high rise condos.
  9. ooooh I hope this happens. I miss Opryland so much. Maybe they could tear down the mall too. *evil grin*
  10. I have never had an apple computer. look to the right of the f12 button. there should be a print screen button. hit ctrl+print screen. then I usually just use paint to paste it and save it as a file.
  11. As a recent employee of kroger, I can say they don't care at all about their employees. At least not the one that I was working at (Bellevue Old Hickory/Hwy 70 S).
  12. It's complicated. I was born in Nashville (can trace my family roots here back to the 1840's, via one branch) and have lived here a good chunk of my life: May 4th, 1984 - May 1990 and then again from October 2009-present. Having been born here (with most of my extended family as well as my dad having never left) then having returned to live full time 19 years later I have both experiences, that of someone who is from here and also that from an outsider. I experienced the five points and Midtown for the first time in 2010 but I have mourned the loss of Opryland Theme Park like other natives. I am a Nashvillian but I am not jaded like someone who has lived here their whole life, nor am I as perturbed by a lot of the changes as a lot of Nashville natives. I would never identify myself as a "Middle Tennessean". I am a Nashvillian.
