  1. Well, they have been adding new things to the park every year, but IMO they should focus a bit more on that part of the experience as the attractions are already good. Agreed.
  2. I went last year and I enjoyed a lot, as this park is very roller coaster oriented. I just think they need to upgrade the walking experience.
  3. Lol, the top is nice, but the bottom of the building is really bad. Good that it never materialised.
  4. Good arguments up there. Britain has some High Speed trains, but it's not comparable to the ones in Asia in regards of speed and maybe technology, especially because the land is not big enough to make it worth it or economically viable, so here in UK they focus more on expanding the classic 19th century trains, as someone said before me. Of course, America is lagging behind with this, as you have a lot more land than UK does, but I guess that if it is not developed yet, is because there's not enough demand to support it.
  5. Huge potential around there. If I had the money, I'll make a nice corridor with shops, bars and restaurants around there.
  6. I didn't know where to put this. I know no one cares what comes next lol. But I just changed my profile nickname looking through the settings. It's similar to the previous, just the grownup version. I'm still the same old (jeanf1991) that's been reading (and giving likes) in this forum since 2012. Also, I realised I have +800 profile visits, like, why, even better than my instagram/twitter account lol. I've been working in the wrong platform all this time.
  7. I'm just curious (I do like web development), but what software do you use to see this forum? .. Chrome, Edge, Tapatalk..... on your phone, tablet or pc? I can see all the Like options since a couple of years ago or so. The size of your screen, specially small ones, can hide some features that the developer think aren't necessary on a small screen. Sorry for the Off-Topic.
  8. Here are my 2 cents.. I’m new with TapaTalk, so I’m not sure how this pictures looks when using a computer. Btw, there’s a small Trump demonstration at the Bearden Park. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Folks, your city is Booming. Last time I was around was in May 2018, and I’m impressed how many more buildings are finished or popping up around uptown. I had an amazing lunch next to the railtracks. Also, you should see people in the plane when we were landing, most of them were breaking their necks looking to see the skyline, I was one of them lol. Really, I’m having a nice time!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Phew, you know your thing. Flight to CLT will be the day after, so there won't be a problem with connections, same for the return. Also, My dad will pick me up at CLT airport more likely, so I think I will follow the Exit as you said. Thanks, I always love to go to Charlotte, for sure I will enjoy this time again.
  11. The route I'll be doing from London to Charlotte in a couple of days times is: London - NY (Norweian) NY - CLT (Delta) And the same plan to return to London. It was the cheapest option I could find through SkyScanner. Was there any other optional (cheap) route to get to Charlotte? .. I've tried London - Orlando and then doing a road trip to Charlotte. I know, that one is long but very enjoyable if you like sightseeing. Also, any recommendation/precaution when I'm arriving/leaving at the CLT airport? I did not follow this thread from a long time.
  12. A bit off-topic. I'll be attending a wedding in Charlotte, and I will be in the city between the 11th and 14th of January (next week). It sounds like the pyramid will be finished this week. Any chance they will be testing the pyramid's lights by the time I'm in Charlotte? Any guess on what they will be doing by the end of next week? I'm looking forward to see this one with my own eyes. I'm quite excited with this project.
  13. Pretty nice transformation over the years. There will be quite a lot of people around when all this project is ready, so adapting the sidewalks and road layout will surely help.
  14. I will never understand why would anyone oppose on building up infrastructure to the city they are living in (unless this infrastructure will affect you negatively). Seriously, if you don't like seeing a city developing through the years, you better go and live away from the cities. Certainly, when I moved over to London from Venezuela, I could choose between any other city in the UK, Spain or Portugal, but I love development and London was the city with more opportunities (to me) due to them investing in infrastructure. Instead, if I were anti-development, I'd stay away from London and would choose a small villa in Spain or Portugal. You can't expect big cities to cater just for your needs. The good thing is, as far as I can see, this decisions are consulted during elections over there in America (correct me if I'm wrong), so residents will get what they have voted for at the end, it is not a behind-the-doors decision.
  15. Good pictures, but this has to be the tackiest tree around there lol. I liked the "artistic" ones though, specially the one made with plastic bottles, gives Charlotte a bit of an urban feel.
  16. One of the few towers where you can see progress on a daily basis, crazy.
  17. There's lot of potential in this picture. This area of Charlotte is pure gold. It could be a prime location for high residential/office buildings with views to downtown charlotte, IMO, of course.
  18. I'm visiting Charlotte for a few days in January. Can't wait to see this in person.
  19. From some angles, Downtown Charlotte looks similar to Canary Wharf in London, just ignore the thames source.
  20. I'm sorry for being so random here, but was listening some chill night music on youtube and judge by yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LKrEQBrZN8 Damn, Charlotte looks amazing!
  21. not totally true. You can't carry on bikes in London's trains at peak times, and I'm sure the same applies to the streetcars in Croydon, south-east London.
  22. I dont know how expensive could be an increase of 0.5 in tax, but to me does not sound bad if that means that I will be helping to develop my city. I come from a Petroleum country and there every development about thansit just comes from the main petroleum company there, not from my taxes.
