  1. It's going in one of the out parcels at Shackleford Crossing. There was an article on Arkansas Business website that mentions three possible restaurants going in Shackleford Crossing with Longhorn Steakhouse being one of them. See my earlier post in the Shackelford Crossing thread.
  2. Arkansas Business have an article regarding the tenants at the Shackleford Crossing Center. It mentions Jo Ann Fabric & Craft, Hobbytown USA, a Sprint Store, and Scottrade as possible tenants at the lifestyle portion of the center. The article also mentions three possible restaurants at the remaining outparcels portion of the center. They are BJ Restaurant and Brewery, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Chuck E Cheese. Although not impressed with the retail tenants, I do find the restaurants a little more interesting. BJ Restaurant and Brewery would be new to Arkansas and would be a great addition to the existing restaurants located there. Longhorn Steakhouse, with locations in Jonesboro and Forth Smith, would be new to Central Arkansas and would also be great for the center. I do find it more interesting with Chuck E Cheese wanting to locate there consider that they have a location on Rodney Parham next to Kmart. Maybe they planning on closing their existing location on Rodney Parham and relocate to Shackleford Crossing?
  3. What happen to this development? It's seem that the shopping center have went downhill since the foreclosure of the center. It have so much potential to be a power center, but from what I've seen there's not one new tenant that I find interesting.
  4. Just went to the Apple Store at the Promenade. It was a nice store. It is much larger than I expected. They have plenty of staff to help you with anything you need.
  5. Any info on the Village of Brodie Creek? I was on my way to the Rave theater and saw the site cleared for both Shoppes at Colonel Glenn and the Village of Brodie Creek. I also noticed a sign that says, "Village at Brodie Creek mixed used development 80 acres". I'm wonder what tenants may go in the Village at Brodie Creek. Hopefully not another car dealerships as that area have enough already.
  6. It's official, Arkansas Business reported that the Apple Store will open Aug 20!!!

  8. Great news to this center. With Apple, J. Crew, Nike, and Anthropologie this center have no problem attracting other retailers/ restaurants (Fossil, Urban Outfitters, California Pizza Kitchen) as well as more foot traffic to this shopping center. I believe this can be a destination center to the city if not the state.
  9. Ross Dress For Less plan to open Fall 2011 according to the company's website that own the shopping center.
  10. I wonder if Chilli's still coming to the Promenade. It was also part of the original tenants mentioned. Also, what about Lucky Brand and Nike? Lucky Brand submit a plumbing application for the Promenade two years ago, but I don't know if they still plan to open a store there. It would be nice if Fossil, Urban Outfitters, Godiva locate there.
  11. J. Crew have resubmit their plumbing application for Promenade at Chenal. http://www.healthy.arkansas.gov/eng/planreview/PLUMB/Pulaski.htm
  12. I'm excited for this store to come to Arkansas and think it would do well here. I don't understand, however, why would they choose to locate there considering you got other shopping centers (like Shackleford Crossing) with empty storefronts.
  13. I agree that the movie theater will attract more people to the mall even though I'm not a fan of movie theaters in a mall. A movie theater in the mall attract a lot of teens hanging out in the mall creating an unpleasant shopping experience. I can see this being a problem at the mall already. I think the movie theater should be built elsewhere (near Walmart on McCain Blvd for example) instead of the mall. A department store or another large store (forever 21 or Urban Outfitters) would have been a better choice. [quote name='thewizard16' timestamp='1304569805' post='1142398'] I noticed that McCain Mall/Simon finished the purchase of the old M.M. Cohn space improvements/lease interest recently. Price tag- $1.85 million. It mentioned the lease-hold rights covered 4.28 acres, which is larger than the footprint of the store by a decent margin, I hadn't realized another company was still holding those rights and they extended beyond the actual space (for potential expansion, I suppose?). I bet they're hoping this movie theater works out...
  14. According to Arkansas Business, Apple, Inc is taking applications for the new location here.
  15. They finally decide to do a much needed renovation to McCain Mall. It would be nice if they demolish the former MM Cohn space and expand the mall from the north side with a new wing fill with upscale stores and restaurants and add an anchor for this wing (Macy*s). I do believe there is enough land, especially to the north of the mall, for this to happen. The renovation needs to be attractive to include stores like white house/black market, bebe, and urban outfitters and restaurants such as the PF Chang's (though they have a location on Shackleford Rd. in W. Little Rock) and The Cheesecake Factory.
  16. I went to the new Walmart at Shackleford Crossing last night and was not impressed with it at all. The building's exterior is nice but the inside is awful. The bathrooms were filthy with paper towels everywhere, their inventory is not as good as the other locations around town, and the staff didn't have any clue where most of the items were located. The layout is a bit confusing and the store itself is smaller compared to Hwy 10 and MCcain Blvd locations. I understand that some of the staff are new but I feel they should had proper training before they start working. I think I'll visit the Hwy 10 location until I see improvements at this one.
  17. According to Kark, the Bowman Walmart will open as a Supercenter in 2012. I don't know how it will work being that it's not far from the new supercenter on Shackleford. As for restaurants, I read that they were waiting for Walmart to open before they consider their plans to locate their. Maybe Hooter's or Friday's could locate their since there's no location in Little Rock.
  18. Any new restuarants/stores announced for this center besides Arby's and Zaxby's? I'm sure we see more activity once WalMart open.
  19. According to Arkansas Business, Dunkin Donuts are considering opening up new stores around Arkansas. Some of the possible locations are Little Rock, North Little Rock, Hot Springs, Cabot, Benton, Jacksonville and other cities. Here is an link of the article below: http://www.arkansasbusiness.com/article.aspx?aID=123150.54928.135288&cID=i
  20. I wonder what stores and restaurants are still coming to this center when Walmart opened. Golden Correl, Zaxby's, or Ruby Tuesday were mentioned earlier but I don't know if they are still in the planning. This center needs something new to the market(like Gordman's which has been packed everytime I go there) instead of the same stores/restaurants that are already in Little Rock . Stores/Restaurants like Ross Dress For less, Gap Outlet, Lids, Marshalls, Dick Sporting Goods, Red Robin (which was mentioned earlier but never materialized), Boston Market, Chiptole, TGI Friday's, or Zaxby's will fit perfect for this center. A mexican restaurant would also be a great addition to this center. Anyway, I would like to see those vacant spaces/lots occupied with these types of stores and restaurants if possible.
