  1. Are there any updates to the development regarding tenants at the outlet mall and other tenants in addition to the outlet mall beside Cavendar Boot store (which I'm not impressed with)?
  2. That's a good point. It's questionable to see if the market can support existing stores in the Little Rock market and the outlet versions of these stores. Hopefully, the Outlets at Little Rock can open some stores that are unique to the market such as Off 5th Saks Outlet or Nordstrom Rack so it won't affect the standard stores. I heard rumors that Old Navy and Gap will open a store at the new outlet mall but I'm wondering what effect will it have at their existing locations.
  3. Has anyone been to the new Little Rock Marriott restaurant called Heritage Grille and Fin and the new renovated areas of the hotel? If so, can you tell your experiences of the restaurant and the hotel in general.
  4. I agree. I don't even waste my time going there anymore due to the disappointment I see at the center. When Promenade at Chenal first open, it was a unique shopping center with exclusive retailers new to Arkansas (these stores still exists at the center) and the management put more effort into the quality of tenants there but lately it's becoming more of a traditional shopping center found elsewhere around the city. For example, why in a world would the center's leasing agent allow another yogurt store to open in the center when they already have an existing ice cream shop (Maggie's Moo). And again, why on earth would they allow Home Goods open a location there when that spot could of been occupied by another retailer/restaurant new to the market. Home Goods should of open in the Kroger Shopping Center where it's sister store, Marshall's, currently occupied or at Shackleford Crossing shopping center. I really hope another retail developer (General Growth Properties, New England Development, or heck even Simon) buy this shopping center and turn it around. Let's hope the Outlets at Little Rock (under construction) can offered something unique to the city and not just another disappointing center in Little Rock. I bet Nike Outlet would move to the Outlets at Little Rock where there is more traffic and visibility from a major freeway once construction is finished.
  5. I doubt Pappadeaux will open a location in Downtown Little Rock. They usually purchase land and open locations in suburban sections of the city such as the ones in Dallas and Atlanta. It would be nice though. Maybe an upscale new to the market seafood restaurants (such as Willie G's Seafood and Steak located in Houston, Tx and Denver, CO) or Houhilan's Restaurant could open in that spot. As previously mentioned, a Hard Rock Cafe would do well there since the River Market is always busy but I don't think they locate in a market this small. Would be nice though!
  6. Hopefully, these companies (specifically Joe's Crab Shack and Red Robin) will soon open a location in the Little Rock Market. Wasn't CVS Pharmacy and Kum and Go suppose to go on the former Brandon House site at the intersection of 12th and University? I remember reading an article early this year on the Arkansas Business website stating these two tenants were looking at the former Brandon House property. I wonder what happened?
  7. I could see these two restaurants eventually end up at the Gateway Towne Center in the future. The same company that owns Macaroni Grill also owns Joe's Crab Shack. The developer at Shackleford Crossing was having financial problems at one time which caused some tenants to pull away.
  8. The mall got plenty of space to add additional space. So, I don't see why not.
  9. Hopefully, they can negotiate with a Pappadeaux, Joe's Crab Shack, or a Cheesecake Factory to come to this development and not a McDonald's, Sonic, or Wendy's.
  10. Or a Hard Rock Cafe though the market is to small for a restaurant like this.
  11. I agree that the Promenade at Chenal is desperately looking to find any tenants that is interested in leasing the space regardless of the quality of the tenants. It's pretty disappointing for them to say an AT&T store and Home Goods an exciting destination store which is truly not. AT&T stores are located throughout Little Rock and this location in the Promenade at Chenal will be no different than the rest of the existing AT&T stores. In my opinion, I wish the current management will sell this shopping center to another national retail developer (ex: Simon, Westfield) to turn this shopping center in the right direction. I bet Nike Store will relocate to the Outlets at Little Rock once it opens next summer.
  12. I also remember ShowBiz pizza when I was young. I remember having my birthday party every year at that location and use to dance with the animatronics in the showroom.
  13. Unfortunately, they would be a better fit at Park Plaza than the Promenade at Chenal. I wonder if the Nike outlet would move to the planned Outlet Mall near Bass Pro Shop?
  14. Very disappointed to see another AT&T and Home Goods coming to the Promenade at Chenal. Lately, It seems like the Promenade at Chenal is going downhill on the tenant selection. The shopping center is suppose to be marketed as an upscale shopping with the primary focus on luring tenants that are new to Arkansas (Apple, J. Crew, and Nike). Yet, it seems like they are lower there standards of being an upscale center to a mid price center. I agree that Home Goods should be located in shopping centers like the Kroger Marketplace Centre (where Marshall's currently resides at) or Shackleford Crossing. As for AT&T, I think the Little Rock market is over saturated with them and there is no need for another one to open. Even the restaurants selection seems a little disappointed to me (ex: why on earth did they open a Chinese restaurant when there are so many other Chinese restaurants across town that are just as good or better than the one at the Promenade). Many people I talked to said the only reason they go to the Promenade is to go to see a movie at the Chenal 9 IMAX theater and shop at Nike (which always be busy every time I visit the Promenade). My suggestion to the owner is to sell this shopping center to another national developer (ex: Simon) and hire new management team to turn this shopping center around.
  15. Not that I know of other than Chuck E Cheese coming.
  16. I don't think 10 Fitness will become a run down gym in the future. They got multiple locations around Central Arkansas and they pretty much keep their facilities up to date. As for the child care area, A manager at 10 Fitness said that they are planning on adding a child care area for those who have children and want to workout while keeping the children busy. As for premium members, I'm am a 10 Fitness premium members and find their equipment just as good as any other facilities. I have talked to other 10 Fitness premium members about them moving to LA Fitness and they said they are most likely staying with 10 Fitness. As for the pool, spa, and sauna area, you can basically get that anywhere around town. I'm surprise to see how small LA Fitness pool and spa is. It is the size of a hotel pool and spa tub which is disapointing considering the price they charging.
  17. Looks very nice and modern. I wonder when will they start Phase two renovation of the airport terminal?
  18. I'm sure 10 fitness membership will expand despite the fact that LA Fitness opening up in West Little Rock and on University Ave. Some people just come in to lift weights and use the machines and could care less about a fancy gym that have a pool, hot tub and basketball court. I was at LA Fitness on University Ave this past Thrusday just to check it out and notice that there was hardly anybody there. To be honest, I don't see what the hype is about LA Fitness other than its newer and they have fancy manchines (which I could care less about). With that said, there are several advantages that 10 fitness have over LA Fitness. For one, LA Fitness is not 24 hours (unlike 10 fitness) and it's not good for those who gets off late from work and wants to workout before they go home. Second, LA Fitness don't have Wifi which is not good for those who want to listen to internet radio (Pandora, iHeart Radio) or other things that require wifi during their workout. If I'm going to pay a $99 initation fee plus $29.99 (including a 9% tax) to become a LA Fitness membership, then I should expect these amenities to be include in my membership. Don't get me wrong, LA Fitness is a nice facility but I don't think it's worth the monthly fees they're charging to their members. 10 Fitness have nothing to worry about even if they lose a few members to LA Fitness.
  19. LA Fitness have not affected 10 Fitness at all. I was at 10 fitness this past Tuesday and it was packed as always.
  20. I hope there wouldn't be an outlet to those stores as this market isn't large enough to support both. I'm hoping for stores like Nordstrom Rack or Off 5th Saks Fifth Avenue, Ralph Lauren Outlet, and other high end brand to open shops at this outlet mall. Little Rock could need some more high-end brand name stores that is not current in Arkansas.
  21. I even hoping for some dining options that are new to the Arkansas market. This would be a great site for a Joe's Crab Shack to locate in this development due to great visibility from I-30 as well as high volume of traffic during the daytime.
