There is now a tourist shop in Gulfport. Last week Surf Style opened a shop in Gulfport in a building that was supposed to be a little box chain pharmacy. Apparently the chain had second thoughts about opening across from the beach after the building was completed. As for whether a tourist shop is needed, the Surf Style in Biloxi does great business and has expanded their hours. Some of the tourists are back, and they need places to buy gaudy souvenirs.
