  1. Skyline made it onto a Weather.com video... still with the pesky NC attached though.. https://weather.com/news/weather/video/downtown-charlotte-disappears-in-storm
  2. Soon to be more if that sales-tax redistribution bill happens.
  3. Yikes, I couldn't imagine a more nondescript uninviting looking place. Kind of looks like a converted parking garage covered in dry wall. However aesthetics I could get over if they made up for it with street level presence, but my goodness. All right so enough negativity, yay no parking lot!
  4. ^ Well they definitely need to update the background picture for the charlotte campus website. The skyline doesn't even have Trademark in it.
  5. Harrah's has already got that covered.
  6. That has got to be the smallest mellow mushroom sign I've ever seen.
  7. Shoot I know people that drive all the way from Virginia to go shopping at South Park.
  8. I think Tyvola makes a lot more sense than sticking it in East Charlotte. What a great addition for all the veterans in the area, which is a lot more than I realized. Much needed.
  9. Ah ha! Overall loved the park, but this was my one disappointment. Going off parks I frequented when I lived in france (because this is the paris memory part correct?) and what it appeared on the renderings, I expected crushed light colored limestone-ish/pebbles look, not a grey soot appearance and texture.
  10. Did you get a glimpse at the Paris Memory part? I really hope they go with the crushed granite light look where the tables will go, but it looks gray as of now from the aerials.
  11. First major storm will snap those trees like twigs! Gosh so small. Great ground level pics though!
  12. I don't understand the whole mixing argument. It clearly states in the article those carrying will not be allowed to consume alcohol.
  13. Stumbled upon this blog http://nakedcityblog.blogspot.com/2013/06/getting-creative-with-blue-line.html I like how they are planning on applying art even to the bridges.
  14. The trees seem awfully tiny, was hoping they could start with a little more matured ones but at least they're in the ground!
  15. Well I convinced my girlfriend to take a drive and snap a couple pics of the progress.. it's a little dark but hey its street level!
  16. Serving overseas for the better part of the last year I haven't been able to see home and all the construction and improvements. I'm very appreciative to all for the picture updates as this is probably the project I'm the most stoked for! Keep 'em comin and thanks!! Hopefully this will help give Latta Arcade enough traffic to stay open reasonable hours now, not the typical uptown hours.
  17. For those of you who don't know about the parks facebook page Build Romare Bearden Park, they just posted a couple pictures of construction progress. Pretty neat and good angle, you can kind of get a feel for the grade. https://www.facebook.com/romarebeardenpark
  18. I think what you're talking about is essentially a Dave and Busters
  19. Hey all! I'm overseas right now and like to check in on this particular project, but can't seem to find reliable updates anywhere on the net.. if anyone happens to walk by or have any cool views and could snap some pics I'd love to see the progress! Thanks.
  20. So did they ever find a developer for this? I know that window for interested parties has closed, but never heard any word on who they chose or anything.
  21. Anyone able to snap a quick pic of any progress on this site? I've scoured the internet for any construction updates but can't seem to find any. I'm assuming demolition and grading is still going on.
  22. yikes. looks like 80s library meets apple store. at least its surrounded by a field and railroad tracks because its looking quite suburban. maybe its just this rendering though
