  1. Raleigh's definitely growing up fast. I can't wait to see some better in depth renderings.
  2. Raleigh made it to the top of yet another Forbes list. I know many people question the validity of these lists, but it's still good press nonetheless. There are people who actually take these lists seriously. This time Raleigh made number 1 for job opportunities. Windows Vista is totally hott by the way!
  3. I just hope this area doesn't become another Atlanta-type clone. The potential is already there. This area is basically a mass sprawling conglomeration of large to large-ish cities all smashed together sharing municipal borders. Sometimes its hard to know where one city stopped and another one began.....unless you look up to see the city limits sign.
  4. Most of those buildings on Fayetteville Street look raggedy anyways... Give me a canyon of glass any day.
  5. We finish near the top of the list year after year. Raleigh was ranked #4 in the "big cities" category. http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bp.../PL3755000.html Cary also finished near the top spot. Cary finished at #5 on the list that didn't include large cities. http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bp.../PL3710740.html
  6. Haha. I know what you mean. Boylan Heights sits directly adjacent to the ghetto. Just make a left from Boylan Ave toward downtown on South or Lenoir streets. Literally, if you blink an eye, you're like where did that nice neighborhood go?
  7. Is the new Macy's thats opening at Crabtree going to be NC's first?
  8. I hate parks. We have too many of them to begin with. If you want open space, move to the country and out of Downtown Raleigh. Pullen park is just down the road anyways. I say build the whole plot up into something truly urban. Also, that junk yard and those housing projects at the end of Lake Wheeler need to be deleted. They built some brand new apartments right there, and they've been completed for quite some time. However, the parking lot is mostly empty. I guess nobody wants to live nestled between a housing project and a junk yard. But man, some of those units must have some awesome skyline views.
  9. I dont understand why they're seperated either. Raleigh and Durham's city limits actually touch one another around the Brier Creek / Page Rd area. Oh well.
  10. I think Crabtree is still doing very well. I'm sure most people who live in that area would rather just go to Crabtree rather than drive all the way to Triangle Town Center or Southpoint.
  11. Cool article. Everyone needs to hurry up and read this before the moderator deletes it!!!!
  12. Wow, hello neighbor. I live around the corner from you in that newish apartment complex at Lake Wheeler and the Beltline. I drive down Maywood Ave every day en route to work. I've always wanted to see what the inside of Caraleigh Mills looks like.
  13. Sterlings released a new chart ranking the most expensive metro areas for commuting in the U.S. The bulk of the list is taken up by southern cities. Sterlings blames suburban sprawl as the main culprit. What do you think? The Triangle ranked number 9 just ahead of Los Angeles. Experts at Sperling
  14. Well duh!!!........nobody goes to office buildings to party..LOL If you notice, all the nightlife spots are adjacent to the core CBD. Hey yall, lets go start a club in the cubicle LOL.
