  1. It's back visible. I think you're right - Rupple road on the top - Wedington on the left. Wellspring is probably just to the east of it. Then again, they said the park area donated would connect to Davis park in the Walnut Grove s/d, which is just east of Wellspring. So, it must be the entire area between Rupple and Walnut Grove (that's the s/d on Salem). I'm still confused.
  2. Now that is going to be a huge development. I'm trying to figure out where it is exactly. The Morning News showed it at the NE corner of Wedington and Rupple. Is it the same spot where the Wellspring ( I think that's what the sign says) development is planned north of Wedington? I've wondered if there will be a fight to preserve all those large oak trees along the north side of Wedington. 1200 apartments, 9 hole golf course and 100,000 sq ft of commercial space on 152 acres would seem to dicate a lot of trees would be cut down. The design looks a lot better than the typical Lindsey development. Too bad he didn't start using it a few years ago.
  3. [quote name='itk' date='Jan 28 2007, 03:26 PM' post='685491' The reason of building 4 lanes instead of 5 lanes is basically money. When in doubt, it's 99.9% bottom line about $$.
  4. If you look at Fayetteville's map of capital improvement projects there is a new sewer line going through that area along the creek. Those pipes look be about the size they are using and you can see where they are crossing N. college with the pipe. http://www.accessfayetteville.org/pdfs/dow...9&revision= I've never understood Fayetteville's use of 4 lane roads without a turn lane. Joyce and Gregg are both nerve-wracking drives because of it. I always stay in the outside lane until I need to turn left.
  5. I think that is another Lindsey development called Southern View Phase II. Retail on the first floor and apartments on the top 2 floors. He said at one of the planning commission meetings that if those new residential design standards passed that it would mean more vertical buildings. I guess he foresaw the future and decided to get a head start.
  6. zman9810 still finding my way around
  7. Funny, I work downtown and walk by there often and never noticed they are two separate buildings. I did think it strange the sign wasn't up front facing Mountain. I guess it's like my door code at work- I punch it in everyday automatically but when someone asks me what it is, I can't remember.
