  1. I think the spire and cone on top of the PNC building were added to make it the city's tallest. For what they spent on that building I'm sure they could have come up with something a little more impressive.
  2. A very nice 23-story building that went up quickly, serves a purpose and didn't take up a lot of space. Would like to see a few more similar to this spread around downtown.
  3. All of those apartment projects are fantastic. Now let's see more Skyhouse-type projects with a little height!
  4. BullDurhamer, thanks for the pictures. This is going to be to be an impressive building.
  5. The height and location for the North tower would be ideal for an up-and-coming bank or one that just wants regional notoriety.
  6. I just don't see city council blocking two or three 20 story buildings from being constructed because someone's view is going to be blocked. That area is getting ready to explode with construction and the Hue and Dawson will be right in the middle of it. I see the PD/city hall block redeveloped in the next 10 years. Harrington Street from Dillon Supply to the greyhound lot could see alot of growth.
  7. Ok, I guess I was confused. I was thinking you guys were talking about something additional across the street from the North tower.
  8. An office building between McDonalds and Red Hat? That sounds good, I like the height of their 22 story buildings!
  9. Yep, and I don't want to complain, but this tower would have been much more visible had it been the taller of the two. I'm afraid the North building will be hidden more by the BB&T and BOA buildings.
  10. Nice looking building, wish it was about 25 stories, would have really been an eye-catcher.
  11. Wll be nice to watch this tower climb. Great for Durham. Hopefully a few others will come soon.
  12. If the City ever decides to move its Central Fire Station, I would like to see something like this in its place, facing the park.
  13. Can you imagine what the skyline would look like with two or three towers spread out between Reynolds and Wachovia? Pretty impressive.
