  1. Nolatown receives non-binding letter of intent with the city. It looks like this project might come to fruition. Great news.
  2. I found HRI's website but I couldn't find a rendering of their project on Poeyfarre.
  3. Where would they put a 15 story parking garage? bidclerk
  4. Here's some news on the The St. Raymond project on Jefferson Highway. I hope this developement materializes but wouldn't be surprised if it lanquishes for months. 500 million plus, that's impressive.
  5. I couldn't get your link to the Bioinnovation building to work. Try this link. There's a lot of stuff being planned for that portion of Canal Street. The Krauss and Texaco buildings being converted to condos, the revitalization of the theaters, etc. However, something has got to be done about the homeless squalor at Canal and Claiborne. How were they ever allowed to camp out in front of City Hall in the first place? Now they're prominently on one of the main thoroughfares through downtown.
  6. Here's the preliminary Nolatown renderings.
  7. 477 million Nolatown moving forward at Lincoln Beach. This is a big deal for the lakefront. This is the project that councilwoman Cynthia Willard-Lewis was miffed about because she wasn't in the loop. There were some preliminary renderings that were most impressive. I'll try to find 'em.
  8. Any idea what this is? 17 story condominium tower
  9. Care to check out a synopsis of the various construction proposals for New Orleans and the region? Here's a link to the World Trade Center's site. Louisiana projects
  10. Take a ride across the completed Huey Long Bridge. video
  11. Hotel Wyndham now operating as a Westin at Canal Place is undergoing a top to bottom 22 million dollar renovation. I wonder if the Three Canal Place project will happen. Excellent location across the street from Harrah's.
  12. I think the rendering of the Royal Cosmopolitan doesn't look to hot either. Maybe the actual building will turn out better. What ever happened to this project in an article from early this year? I thought it was go for lift off. 930 Poydras Tower 37-story tower pegged for CBD sgray, please do not post entire articles. When possible, provide a link instead. Thanks! -NCB
  13. Photo update on the Huey Long Bridge widening project. Can't wait till it finishes in 2013. Check out their web site at www.hueypbridge.com.
  14. I'm pretty sure that's the same statue that used to sit between the World Trade Center and the Rivergate. Beautiful piece of art.
  15. Trump Tower back on track. Now it's up to 72 floors.
  16. Correction. I meant site not sight.
  17. It looks like this project is really starting to take off. You should see the thousands of pilings on sight ready to be driven. I think '08 going to be a bust out year.
  18. 23 story condo popped up on bidclerk today. Tracage is supposed to be 24 stories but maybe that's it. Riding around today I noticed a chain link fence with graphic advertising for the tower has been put up around the Trump site. There's also a lot of work going forward on the Borders bookstore on St. Charles.
  19. St. Charles Streetcar to run entire length of St. Charles Ave. by Christmas. Final leg up South Carrolton to come later.
  20. Nice presentation staroftheshow86. Vantage definately got cancelled and nothing ever came of the project at 930 Poydras. I think that one would have really been impressive. Two big rehab projects are Plaza Tower, it can't stand abandoned forever, and the World Trade Center. That's a long term rehab undertaking with a huge pricetag.
  21. 26 story Royal Cosmopolitan moving forward on Canal and Royal. It looks like we may finally see some cranes in the sky downtown in '08.
  22. Correction, the web site is thestraymond.com. Whatever happened to the 37 story project at 930 Poydras?
  23. Any idea if the St. Raymond project is going forward? Their website (StRaymond.com) says groundbreaking is in '07 but this seems doubtful as they haven't started yet. They did clear out all the merchants at the site and were granted a huge building incentive by the state if I'm not mistaken. Hope it comes to fruition.
  24. This looks interesting. Seventeen story condo tower. Any idea where this is going to be?
  25. I made an inquiry to the Trump Tower sales office about groundbreaking and received the following. Commencement was to have taken place in June '07, then September. then January '08, now Spring. Thank you for your interest in Trump International Hotel and Tower New Orleans. We are thrilled to be a part of your great city's recovery and rebirth. We are working on our sales center as we speak, it will be located on the 25th floor of the Pan American building overlooking our site. The center will be beautiful and will represent a full size studio just as it will appear in the tower. We are slated to open the sales center the first week in December. Groundbreaking is slated for Spring 2008. Sincerely, Dana Mowe Trump International Hotel & Tower New Orleans [email protected]
