  1. Real work has begun at Cathedral Walk. I was at Bottom's Up yesterday and noticed all sorts of digging going on.
  2. Nothing new as of Sunday. I did notice some progress at the Canal building across from La Diff.
  3. He's alive and most likely reading this message, I'll probably see him tomorrow night if you need me to pass on any information.

    Centennial Tower

I noticed work permits on the windows of every (to be demolished) store this morning while running down Main St. The permits were for asbestos removal and set to expire on Dec. 9th.
  5. This seems like a great development, I just wonder where all these people are coming from to live in all of these new developments. I drive down Bethlehem everyday and the homes they knock down will not be missed. They all are identical except some have the design flipped. Access to I-64 is perfect for this location as well.
  6. Burt, I hate to burst your bubble but "Park Plaza" is apartments. I don't doubt that the apartments were leased immediatly because of the growing VCU population right next door. From what I hear the residents/leasing company aren't thrilled about the Daily Planet homeless office on Grace Street around the corner. Either way the building was an eye sore and I'm glad it was renovated. In addition to this building, all of the VCU changes and the recent street changes at Belvidere & Broad the area is really starting to look nice. http://www.forrent.com/apartments/1000004363.html
  7. Hey Burt, I live a block away from "The Overlook" which is being reconstructed after Gaston knocked it down. FEMA is putting the wall back for an estimated $1,000,000. Once completed the new semi-circle will be a park-like setting with stone benches and grass. Also, I'm not exactly sure but there's going to be some type of handicap accessible ramp down to the canal.
  8. There was a camera crew and van setup at 4th & Broad at about 6:30AM this morning when I ran by.
  9. Downtown Richmond Marriott.
  10. Definitely interior and probably some exterior. I was told by a guy at the front desk that the lobby would be extended towards the street. Also, he wasn't sure whether the rooftop pool was going to be covered or left open.
  11. The downtown Radisson will be undergoing extensive renovations shortly and will be turned into a Doubletree Hotel.
  12. POPKIN'S TAVERN on W. Broad St. downtown is set to open "mid-october" according to a posting in the window. The restaurant looks amazing and it's another great addition to Broad St.
