  1. Seriously that is funny you bring that up ill be 26 soon, and i went to "light up orlando" when i was kid with my dad, it was one of those things that i remember from my childhood, lol, that is no longer here, and could have had good potential to become something more. I also remember the whole hoopla over putting a soccerball on the top of the cityhall building, oh memories. thanks for getting the old forgotten neurons in my brain firing again.
  2. seems like a whole lot of money being spent for just architecture, renaming and revamping what is already there, if they dont add another roller coaster it will be a worthless project, someone in the city needs to get some 6alls and build a rollercoaster that actually is exciting. I have been to cedar point and nothing here compares to there, or for that matter six flags even has better rides, the spiderman and mummy are great rides for orlando nothing against them but we need a tall or really fast rollercoaster here.
  3. They are tearing out part of the lost continent and adding more park in an area on the side i believe. And as for the snow, i dont think it will be real just plaster snow pasted on everything to make it look like it snowed.

    55 West

Haha, if we keep this up there are going to be a lot of vacant condos in 55 W lol, no is going to want to keep there unit.

    55 West

You mean the ones facing east they will deal with latitudes while the north deals with the fire station and the West deals with the trains, and as for the south you get the drunk people walking back to their cars the trains and latitudes. I live at cityview and i live in the center of the courtyard surrounded by building and i deal with the trains every night, but im used to it now, doesnt bother me but if i can hear it they surely will hear it.

Aww, the Anderson Ramp getting off I4, i love that ramp so much i feel like i am taking off and then diving back down into the city when i get off that ramp, then if you are lucky you can get the light green and not slow down make a left onto Boone and go in between the garage and building with the walkover above you and 55 W rising in front its so cool. I hope that exit stays cool once they redo it, if not im gonna miss it.

    The VUE

Wow, i have to say that is impressive, i do have a couple questions though, did you get the overflowing bathtub in the master bathroom, and do you have access to the rooftop sundecks, with the summer kitchens? And Also did they give you choices as to what you could put in the condo as far as floors and countertops and stuff, b/c i know when i went to look at the sales center she told me each unit had a standard item for everything and there wouldnt be any different products picked by owners, and she assured me that i would like everything she picked out to go into the unit. I was like if i am paying that much i want some choices, lol.

    The VUE

So i was driving down Colonial earlier toward downtown and they have a lot of the Vue painted white now on the east side. It is really starting to look a little better im getting impressed, from the north it looks like a japanese building or something crazy like that.
  9. As Onative said its not official yet so... we will just have to wait to see if it rises.
  10. Most likely that is why all this has been hush hush.... but the article didnt detail very much, so as far as that goes its was pretty vague.
  11. Yay, they finally annouced it, i have been working on this project off an on now for a while. It really is going to be a great thing for the area, a whole new cluster of high rises.
  12. She didnt make it the lake has dried up to much and it killed her
  13. i think the meeting went well from what i heard most people that were there were for it, except for the little old lady who didnt want them to fix up the polluted citrus bowl site, b/c she wouldnt go there if it was polluted and she is 91 so she thinks that if you stay away from pollution you can live to be as old as her, she was so funny, and also assured us that the Bob Carr wasnt built in 1926 b/c she was here, and it wasnt, i dont know nor do i care if it was here, we need a new one. But she was cute and funny, but most people favored the projects and now we just need to get the dang things started.
  14. There is a meeting/informational get together tonight at the admin building in downtown on Rosalind Street, about the proposed OPAC, Citrus Bowl, and Events Center project, i believe it starts at 7pm. If you are in favor of the OPAC and Arena come on down if not stay home please.
  15. Cool, i have been working on the plans for this site, off and on and it is nice to actually see what it will look like from a architechual standpoint, considering i have been doing just site work parking lots, and drainage stuff.
  16. I saw a sign for Camden and it said luxury apts coming soon, i think they were talking to the termites b/c that is not luxury in my opinion, dyntech maybe camden not!!!
  17. Do you know what is really funny, the fact that the 155 palmetto will probably get built and finished before the majesty building is finished, LOL.
  18. Kuhn is smart he knows what he is doing, if the buildings can be torn down and he wants to do it, he knew he could before he put his bid in. You dont just fork over 34million dollars without a plan, and he has one, i guessing the building on the north side of church and south side that are historic looking will stay and the rest will all come down. But only he knows what he is doing and what he has planned for this area, which i am sure will be great, we just need to wait for him to let us know.
  19. Those dead end beams will stay a dead end for a few years until they extend them up and over 408 to accomodate 408 westbound traffic to i4 westbound, for now that crazy merge of traffic switching lanes will become the 408 westbound to i4 westbound traffic until phase 2 of the interchange begins.
  20. It is pretty good food they have a lot of southern cooking. It is a little greasy and heavy but good if you dont mind a few calories.

Im pretty sure its around there, from what i remember the cost was around 429k it might have been 6th floor but i dont think that price is even good for 6th floor, to each there own though.

    The VUE

Wow those interior shots look really small, the spiral staircase unit is tiny and that would be a 1/1 if im not mistaken, and they are charging 429K +/- for that, eek.

    The VUE

Its gonna continue to look naked i think once it opens up, i dont think people are going to be filling that place up, honestly.
  24. Im not saying that its always the low income people that trash the place i suspect it though, i live next to one of the low income apt they had a dog and you arent allowed dogs at cityview, no where to walk it, they left the place a giant mess. Now there are new poeple there and they are noisey, and party all night long, every night. I should take some pics of the things that get trashed around the place, they literally rip the electronic key pads off the walls the day after they are replaced. We now have a door man to keep the common area downstairs under control now i guess, because the computer lab was getting trashed.
  25. I live in paramore in Cityview and if they are going to bulldoze things there they need to make sure it is not built with that stupid controlled rent government bond idea, b/c that is just a crock of crap... the people that have to pay the full rent at these places for the most part take care of the place, the people that are paying the half priced rent just trash the place and cost the tax payers and full priced rent payers more money in the end and then they tell you, the person that pays the rent on time and takes care of the place that you cannot live there anymore b/c you make to much money even though you are paying fair market price for rent. I say tear parramore down and build condos or town homes that are not luxury but affordable for those who arent millionaires but have decent paying jobs and contribute to society instead of living off it.
