  1. Yeah I don't recall going there much if ever.
  2. Today I just noticed in the former Circuit City location there is now a Big Lots, least that spot is going to be put to some use instead of sit vacant.
  3. Well that came out of nowhere, Bloom is a good choice if they do convert them.
  4. Yeah the angled one seems kinda limiting I agree.
  5. http://www.charlotte49ers.com/view.gal?id=53633 Has some new stadium concepts for one that would be near north tryon
  6. Ah this will be interesting to see
  7. Aren't they first just going to add to the Belk TF complex? Or did they not go forward with that idea and decided to go with building a brand new stadium right away again?
  8. Other little news they closed off that part of the parking lot that's behind laurel hall so now all the people that parked there are crowding up a lot I would park at alot of times (lot 25). Now I'm no expert in planning stuff but wouldn't it make alot more sense if they would have built a replacement deck for said parking BEFORE destroying it so they wouldn't keep making parking worse? Just wondering.
  9. Yeah the new bookstore is great, there actually even is more magazines, even some comic books and manga (japanese style comic books for those that don't know) in one spot. I'm not into apple products but it is impressive I agree, that we actually have an apple store. I also saw that they recently turned the old health center to a place for ROTC.
  10. It figures the new food places on campus continue the ever growing ever year price jacking they do , I mean 1.39 for a Wendy's Double Stack when just down the road it's 99 cents. Man I hate chartwells...
  11. Figures that it's for another apartment complex we don't need. Wish my own though would at least have something extra like a pool or something.
  12. I thought that they had the idea of putting a new rec center there , they did used to have a walking track right there so wouldn't have been out of the question of they put something like that in that spot.
  13. IMO they should build a new parking deck or something first then build the new residence halls instead of constantly making it harder for people to park when they do stuff like this.
  14. Just too bad I won't be able to enjoy this building for that long I'm close (but still a while probably) to finishing. But yeah they did a good job on that
  15. I wouldn't mind being able to call it Charlotte Motor Speedway again
  16. Yeah, though by the time they actually get it over here I'd probably be done (I started in 05) and maybe even in another area of Charlotte (or even the country) by then. Never know where life will take me once I finish. I do like this area though been here so long now, I'd probably get my own apartment though instead of sharing like I do now. But yeah like I said if it was over here it would be so useful. Thing felt so quiet and the views were cool. Some of the stations though don't really look as good as other ones do, but in general they did a pretty good job and there was plenty of places to park at the station I used (sharon road , it was like the station right after the last one at 485)
  17. I actually got to ride this for the first time on Saturday, was fun and makes me even more wish that it was near me because I would actually use it to go to uptown more as I have probably said before.
  18. I like that it has a people mover going right through said possible hotel.
  19. Good back then him and a group he formed should've been the ones that got the team in the first place.
  20. We sure could use alot more sidewalks than that..... at least it's a start...
  21. Yep that's what I was talking about that's pretty interesting that it was them that built that.
  22. I was talkin about the Carowinds tower the airport built that?
  23. I do remember reading they did have that issue trying to get the observation tower up but they just rerouted it away.
