Hey does anyone have a pic of downtown back when we still had that microwave tower from Sprint? When did they tear that down? I'm guessing it was right before the Tennyson started construction. It was back before I was interested in downtown, that's for sure. Anyway it seems that pictures of it are hard to come by.

My guess is the Doubletree.

How did they do a flyover of that stadium!!! It is nestled among several 200+ meter buildings! It seems like the FAA would have said no to that one. They wouldn't build the Columbia Center in Seattle over 1000 feet because the FAA said that would be a risk to planes taking off over ten miles away at SeaTac International. It would have been incredible to be in the BoA building during the flyover and see two military jets roaring past at almost the same height as you (and if you have been to an airshow you know that they're extremely loud). Very, very cool.

I realize I have been on this forum for a couple months now but have never properly introduced myself. My name is Stan and I have lived in Tallahassee all of my life. I am 16 but will be 17 in 5 days at this writing and will be a senior at Chiles in two days as of this writing I have taken an interest in urban planning and such only in the past year and discovered UP some time around early 2006 it seems. Cross Country, which is a sport where you run 5 kilometers (3.1 miles), consumes most of my free time and we are very good. We won state in 3A in 2003 and 2005 (I couldn't run in the state meet in 2005 due to a stress fracture and was only JV in 2003) and have a great chance of winning in 2006 so read the sports section. Other interests are this site, the TV show South Park (duh), and the Daily Show.

I think its's definitely the most modern building looking building we have. I somewhat wish the roof wasn't so slanted because that takes away from the overall volume of the building. It's not even visible from most of Appalachee pkwy. seeing as it was built down the hill.

Is that the one on Lake Ella? That street in the fall makes me think of New England.

Hey Cityboy05, what Cross Country team do you run for? When was there a meet at Summit East? I run for Chiles with a 16:45 5k PR.... yeah!
