  1. Thanks all. This one comes from atop the parking garage on Pensacola opposite the five story mixed use structure known as The Lofts (the one connected by the skybridge).
  2. I'm with Fl on this one. Highway 90 between CC and I-10 isn't actually that sparsely populated, they just do a great job of hiding it with all the trees. This definitely wouldn't qualify as sprawl for me, although I do wish I-10 was more centrally routed way back when. Thats ancient history though. I do lament how little development Tallahassee has along I-10 and this will certainly be a catalyst for development regardless of its arrangement even if it isnt a regional attraction.
  3. Wow that brings back some nostalgia. Back from the days when it was actually called the Junior Museum. I haven't been there in so long.
  4. Where in Tallahassee are those nature shots from FL?
  5. I like your shot of the Summit East building FL. I really wish we had more avant garde (for Tally) styling like that downtown. I'm hoping the Aloft will deliver on that in some way.
  6. I was at Myers at the top of the hill just above the train tracks as the road hooks West (from the perspective of this photo). I liked the angle alot too, which is why I had to park the car and get the image. I wanted a digital camera for just these kinds of moments.
  7. Thanks! I'm not sure why, but in my mind, gray skies and billowing steam just make a cityscape look more urban. Maybe reminiscent of Chicago or NYC or something....
  8. January 18, 2008 Cold Downtown Tallahassee, Fl
  9. Is that one a power station or just a regular ole dam?
  10. Man you planned that shot good FL. Looks very metropolitan.
  11. You can see the reflection of the Highpoint Center's marble base in the window.
  12. FL you should snap a picture of that house on Park Avenue between Magnolia and the train tracks that was just redone. It has some big bronze ornament on one of the roof towers and is now light blue overall. It is definitely one of Midtown's most fascinating pieces of architecture.
  13. Yeah that was um...disturbing to say the least. I never knew that restaurant was really that upscale, but the only places I've noticed them are Jax and Orlando. Destin makes sense because of the extremely high volume of money that passes through the area in one day.
  14. Do you have a relative in the Georgia Belle apartments Florida? That encore picture is cool.
  15. Well for the sake of the highrise office and condo markets in the United States, thank god there are millions of people out there who aren't still paranoid, six years later.
  16. Thats neat. The Highpoint actually looks taller in this view. Good shooting.
  17. Now thats not a perspective the average Tallahasseean gets! Great shot.
  18. Wow that grey Accord looks more like a sportscar than a sedan. Nice photos.
  19. Rescussitate the City of Tallahassee itself? I Haven't really noticed a marked decline in activity relative to actual newsworthy events. Its possible everyone is just away from a computer (unlikely yes).
  20. Nice shot indeed. And yes, how did you access it?
  21. Without consulting the Wiki Ill guess Dallas-Fort Worth area. And you're in Fort Worth now?
  22. Gravity Machine makes it sound like some kind of amusement ride. The North Florida Fair isnt coming anytime soon is it?
  23. It's alot taller than I remember. It was quite distinctive in its own way.
