moving uptown

great stuff - i would love to see usair expand their international presence here in charlotte. however i dont see us (charlotte) as having the one way traffice to get us to south america. 90 percent of the passengers would be connecting meaning the routes would probably be unsustainable. also, AA has flights to south america (santiago, buenos aires, quito, lima, guayaquil, rio, sao paulo, all through colombia, etc. . . in fact, aa has the best route coverage in south america of any us airline. with a united merger, i think we would lose charlotte hub to dulles due to proximity. continental would be okay from a route standpoint. kinda exciting the potential growth from charlotte!!!! (now if we could only get those direct fares down)

any one have any info on the renwick? what is the history of this development and is that the building under construction now next to the community center (the one that has the elevator shaft up)? I emailed the renwick for info and they didnt respond

neimans was packed today but i didnt see too many folks buying much of anything. i am sure they will say that all sales exceeded expectations because again, it was packed. also, juicy is supposed to open in spring of 07

i believe this is the right topic for this but it looks like they have been moving dirt for quarterside. question though - next to quarterside is a community services building, across the street is a post office, and down the street is the fire station - is this a good area or could it be better?

juicy is very high end - they sell it in nordstroms, nm, saks - this is a coup for the mall since there are not many out there

well one thing is true . . . we carolina grads to have a pride that is typical of well established institutions. And our giving could definately be higher. Now I am in the mba program at unc-c and all i want is for that program to become a nationally renowned program. its typical - students and alumni want their university to be the best and I am excited to hear that unc-c is doing all the growing that it is doing. i am especially excited about the new uptown building and i hope that no expense is spared (bc we dang well pay enough in the mba program)

so my wife and i went by 210 trade this afternoon to buy a condo. i was out of town this past weekend so i missed the opportunity to buy at the beginning. I went in there looking to spend up to 400k so i figured i could get the large 1 bedroom (the one with the den) or a small two bedroom. I was sorely mistaken. All the 1 bedrooms were sold out except for a handful of the 1 bed with den. The cheapest 1 bed w/ den was 450k on the 7th floor. There were no two bedrooms below half a million left available. Sadly, i wont be moving to 210 trade, but the project is still amazing and will add greatly to not just the skyline but the urban fabric of charlotte. ps its amazing that so many people in charlotte can afford these types of condos

has there been a firm date announced when the sales office will open?

i just walked by the sales center at 201 college st and they have a 6 ft rendering of the building - it looks amazing. I didnt have my camera with me but if you guys head out to the "Charlotte "Eats" festival, pop on over.

i dont think this has been posted yet but http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/business/14680104.htm so "black fin" a ny based restaurant. sounds exciting. add in lucky strike lanes (lounge bowling alley) and fox sports grille and places like mama fus and planet smoothie this place looks exciting. i just hope they dont price themselves into the stratosphere. That is the main concern.

first post - i just moved to charlotte in february and after much thought I have decided to buy at 210 trade. When does the sales office open (or is it already open)? This is an amazing project. I only hope it opens by q4 2007 only because I dont want to have to look at this webcam for more than 18 months.
