If a goldman sachs comes to uptown in the next few years, i will be astonished.

The epicentre structrue is nearly complete. The hotel part is about ready to go onto the smaller floorplates for the tower, which will make it rise faster. The steel building along trade was being finished up today on the corner, and framing is moving along. The 210 base is moving rapidly as well, nearly finished. The movie theatre is going up a floor as we speak. The last 2 days they've been working non-stop. Pouring at night last night and tonight, and likely tomorrow night if weather permits. I guess they will prob. reach their summer deadline at this pace.

Found out that they'll be starting work on site in may, and will have a ceremonial ground-breaking being planned for this summer, a little into construction. Great news. *even though by now the should be done with a lot since they were supposed to start in Jan.

Its ok, but... Maybe Dubais Infinity tower? Or more fitting I think would be the Ice tower. That would stand out. I hope we get a 1000+ foot architectural icon.

Well after reading the CBJ article, im convinced this is a done deal. They state that they have the site under contract, which is a positive, and NVQ has mentioned it was also under contract a while back, I think it will be the tallest building in NC. After looking through a lot of trump developments, a lot of them are the tallest, like his NJ towers, New Orleans project, etc. I think they take pride in have the tallest building in a city or state. They also give a timeline of releasing info. 60-90 days. Man this is going to be a harder wait then waiting for the wachovia renderings.

The exterior framing is coming along. Most of the bulky hotel base is complete. They're starting on the movie theatre part to catch up to the rest now.

Nearly ready for construction?

Looks like they've started all 3 quarterside buildings, as the footing has been poured for the third. Still haven't seen any renderings for it though? Also, the facade for enclave is going up. COURT 6

Have they hit the bottom of a part of their digging? Also: A part of the parking deck was closed off with a fence. Maybe getting ready for implosion???

The last map is helpful. Only one more very potent parking lot left on S.Tryon if all is built, while north tryon has a few. Also. 2nd ward is in desperate need of density.

Well, I don't know about the parking deck implosion, but they've been doing a lot of excavating these last few days, including today.

Yea, they have to be. They wouldn't announce the exact lot they'll build on without having it secured, prices would skyrocket.

Anyone know how much they need to excavate? Theyve been making a lot of progress. Hopefully they'll start deck construction soon.

Anyone hear something on groundbreaking? Didn't they say April 1st? If the beg. of april goes by and nothing happens i'll really become skeptical. Good Luck Vue Charlotte. NVQ maybe any update?

Did the renwick change names? I drove past it today, but just before the construction site there was a sign for "Enclave Uptown" and I first thought that it was a new project on that block, but it looks a little like renwick. Did this project change names? www.enclaveuptown.com by the way

NVQ, come on. Give us a little more info. Who is the developer? Where exactly? Height? MIxed Use? Too many possiblities. Edit: Are you talking about something already announced? Or something that will be announced?

It excites me to hear people who will make use of these "urban" stores. Even though they aren't perfectly planned or architecturally beautiful, they will draw people into an urban area. Or at least mostly urban. The fact that it will just draw more people in for more reasons overshadows the negatives. Welcome to UP boochops!

I've noticed over the last 2 days digging has really picked up.

Its subtle, which I like for a tower that will surround the park. It also has 10,000sq.ft of retail space. And what it replaces....no comparisons. Can't wait to see the other towers' renderings.

The concrete was poured last night for a portion of the steel structure. This thing is moving full speed ahead to completion in summer.
