  1. I hear elementary schools bring pukey flus too. Can we ban those?
  2. My dad just came home from NYC and came with a pizza, bagels, and cookies. Sorry Rhode Island, the food is good here, but doesn't hold a candle to some NYC places!
  3. OK, so who else thinks it's too early to see Christmas decorations?
  4. Wow, I'm sure you angered the family with that one.
  5. One I dug up from last year looking up my neighbor's driveway. It was one of those times I really wished I had a better camera.
  6. Jim, I'm sorry. You can't root for the Cardinals now. That would be like rooting for the Yankees after the 2003 ALCS.
  7. AFLAC gives you cash, which is just as good as money!
  8. This is completely off-topic, but I haven't been able to stop laughing... http://youtube.com/watch?v=SaSV11NXlUw
  9. Any updates on this one? I also finally had time to think about Bakst's editorial. While I love the idea of having trains to Boston, do you think that maybe RIPTA (gasp) could operate some form of train into the city? That way those heading to the city wouldn't have to wait around as much. I remember that Philadelphia's airport has a commuter train come every half hour. Granted, I know that we're much smaller than PHL, but I'm not talking about a insanely long train, either!
  10. You forgot a few, here are all of them, from Burillville's official website: Harrisville, Pascoag, Oakland, Mapleville, Glendale, Mohegan, Wallum Lake, Bridgeton, and Nasonville Confusing!
  11. I took a few pictures around my town today...here's my favorite. More to come later!
  12. It's Flightsim 2004, with numerous addons. The scenery is FlightScenery's Flightzone 01. The AI I've picked up over the years.
  13. Here is my virtual Rhode Island photo of the day, taken from Microsoft Fight Simulator. In my dreamworld, kiosks running MSFS would be in the terminal.
  14. No, I don't think that feature exists, sorry.
  15. You don't need the USB thing to use Skype - it's a complete addon. If you're on a computer that has Skype, you can get your voicemail. You can also have calls forwarded if you like.
  16. As long as you have fast Internet, you're fine. On my computer, Skype to Skype calls sound like the other person is in the room. Regular phone calls are good as well, it just depends on the other person's connection. When I use my Skype phone it just sounds like a regular cordless phone, but Skype to Skype calls are still slightly better.
  17. It is pricey for a phone, but I figured that all the money I would save on phone calls would outweigh the cost. I know for sure my cell phone bill has been cut in half by Skype.
  18. You need a computer on and running for Skype. I got a really nifty phone for it for $70, though. You just connect a USB base station to your computer and put the headset wherever you want. It's quite handy because I'm no longer tethered to the computer. I really love Skype. It's quite handy when my dad travels so he doesn't have a massive hotel phone bill. The only thing I don't like is that your outgoing calls appear as +001234567 on caller ID.
  19. I agree. I am happy, however, that the city took the effort to trim a few of the weeds. As someone who works in the square, I'm really disappointed in the city on this one.
