  1. Really cool driving around today - everything had a cool looking glaze!
  2. I still have school today! All the schools around Woonsocket are closed, but not Woonsocket!
  3. Well Channel 12 said that it will change to rain, and based on their track record this means it will be all snow.
  4. Statement as of 3:27 AM EST on February 11, 2007 ... Confidence is increasing for a winter storm to affect southern New England... Low pressure is expected to develop off the Carolinas Tuesday... then intensify as it tracks northeast. The current forecast brings the winter storm southeast of Nantucket late Wednesday. Based upon this track... there is the potential for a significant accumulating snowfall throughout most of southern New England beginning late Tuesday night and lasting into early Thursday. Strong north to northeast winds are also possible... perhaps gusting as high as 50 mph during the height of the storm late Wednesday and Wednesday night. These strong winds would be more likely to occur near the coast. The combination of strong winds and rapidly building seas could also lead to minor coastal flooding Wednesday... despite low astronomical tides. This winter has certainly featured a lack of snowfall... and as a result... many people have not become accustomed to driving in harsh winter weather conditions. Take time now to make sure your vehicle is prepared. People in southern New England should be aware of the potential for heavy snow... strong winds and minor coastal flooding during the middle of this week. Keep in mind the forecast track may still change over the next day or two... which could result in more or less of an impact on the region. Stay tuned to NOAA all hazards weather radio or your local media for updated information... or visit the National Weather Service Taunton website at weather.Gov/Boston.

  6. So basically it got pushed back even further? (Wasn't construction supposed to start in the spring?)
  7. Cotuit, I have to ask, who's the cute little thing in your avatar?
  8. We got some cool sleet/snow about an hour ago up in Harrisville.
  9. This warm weather is annoying. Usually we use our enclosed deck as a freezer for all the cookies, but alas, we can't.
  10. This is really a shame. I saw this site while driving through the Bucket a couple of weeks ago, and even though the building isn't in the best shape I saw a lot of potential. Hopefully too much damage wasn't done.
  11. Dear All, I have 4 tests tomorrow. If you could please pray to the divine being of your choice for a snow day, please do so. Thanks, Dan
  12. Today at school some people did the math and had some of the kids move down to a hall in the school. A live feed was broadcast around the school - it was quite sobering to see how many people in our school (statistically speaking) died of AIDS.
  13. OK, this should work if Accuwather does what I think they do. If it does work all the snowfall maps for the next ten days will automatically update in the post! The models update at 1:30AM, 5:30AM, 9:30AM, 1:30PM, 5:30PM, and 9:30PM.
  14. The trains are usually on time, yes. The garage fills up really fast so I usually end up parking at Citizen's or in the mall.
  15. Well the Accuweather snow maps have snow on Tuesday and Wednesday next week - we'll see how accurate they are. They had snow for Friday a few days ago and took it off - we'll see how accurate they are!
