Performing Arts Center, museums attract developers to Park West

How far is the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, from this area? That's where I'll be staying when I visit later this month.

It's within walking distance.

Park West is the area between the arenas and 395. The Marriott is just north of the Omni. You'll get a good look at all the projects going in around Margret Pace Park too.

btw Lakelander, nice hotel... the adjoining Doubletree Grand is also very nice... the two hotels share a common first floor (almost) and "mini-mall" that leads out to a small marina.. enjoy your trip and take lotsa pictures!

Great, I see its not too far from a metromover station, as well. I originally thought it would have been a little isolated from everything.

I think that without the Omni extension of the Metromover, everything north of 395 would seem isolated. At least you have transit to help you cross the interstate ravine, lol.

hopefully that interstate will soon be a real ravine. the raised interstate just kills that section of downtown.

Check out this Miami Herald link on the PAC. It includes an "Interactive" connection to some way cool 3-D renderings of buildings that are scheduled to be built around the new PAC which proves this thread was right way back from 2004. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/15199356.htm
