High Point to host 2013 & 2014 USA Cycling National Championships

The Triad lands another major national championship sporting event. High Point beat out Austin, Tx and Sacramento, Ca. Its expected to attract 20,000 spectators and it will be the first time the event will be held in the southeast. Word gets around after Greensboro hosted the U.S. Figuring Skating Championships, future national swim championships in Greensboro and professional tennis in Winston-Salem.

the local cycling community is very excited about this event as they will be able to compete with national-caliber bike racers here in the Piedmont Triad. kudos to Chip Duckett and Mock Orange Racing!
