26 murders in 2010, I think that was an improvement, but I can not find the old thread.

Downtown (2010 Hartford Crime)

Murder: 0 -100%

Rape: 0 -100%

Robbery: 28 -6.7%

Aggravated Assault: 61 +17.3%

Burglary: 14 -68.2%

Larceny: 463 -24.8%

Auto Theft: 46 +4.5%

Total: 612 -22.5%

The trend is good in almost every category.

The trend is good in almost every category.

It seems like the trend has been good in many categories in many areas for a few years now. something that I am quite happy about. Although I think those trends will have to continue for many more years, and primarily, the "bad news" needs to move further and further away from downtown before the average Avon resident thinks of downtown as an option for living or really just visiting at night in general.
