Recommended Posts

when some inner city black and hispanic kids got out of the pool, they were told not to come back. The president of the club said that members were concerned "that a lot of kids would change the complexion and atmosphere of the club" After the incedent the swim club tried to cover its tracks http://www.thevalleyclub.com/

Furthermore as the black and hispanic kids entered the pool, parents began pulling their white children out of the pool.

"As her campers -- boys and girls from kindergarten to 7th grade -- entered the pool area to swim, parents began pulling their children out of the water and standing poolside with their arms crossed.

Wright didn't hear any racist comments made directly to them, but was told by three campers later that one white woman asked "what are these black kids doing here?"
