Ideas for a wedding rehearsal dinner? (on the cheap)

So we found that our potential site for our rehearsal dinner is going to be too expensive.

So since UrbanPlanet knows GR, we are looking for ideas.

Our dinner must be in the 28th street area.

So we are looking for ideas of places that have either rental space that is low-priced and will accommodate about 35 people, or a restaurant that has banquet space.

Most likely we will be looking at a restaurant that has banquet space.

We are TRYING to stay right around $10 per person.

So if you have any ideas of any places we can check out, that would be great!

Hey,

If you can rent a room that allows you to bring in your own catering then I would recommend affordable feasts. We are using them for my rehearsal dinner this summer at a pavilion that we rented in a park. Their food is great and they do everything from small groups to GFS company picnics where they cook for 1000 people. If you have less than 75 they don't cook on site but cook at their location at Alpine/Richmond and run it over to your location. You can definitely get everything for less than $10 per person that way since you can customize your food order (ex. we have several vegetarians/vegans, which makes it much cheaper!) Plus you can set up a time to go sample food. To be honest our first impression was that their place didn't seem very professional (older building, dingy office, one of the deliver vans had a lot of kind of beat up etc) but they have a nice professional grade kitchen and their knowledge of how to balance meals and the great taste of everything we ate totally made us look past it and decide to book them. Obviously our experience was positive enough for me to recommend them and we haven't even had our rehearsal dinner yet! But yea if your on a budget and are not opposed to catering check them out.
