2 new banks to start in Nashville

Two new banks are starting up in Nashville raising a record 162 million in capital start up money. I hopes this bodes well for the economy here. Both banks are located DT or Mid town.

I just wonder if any of these banks will be the subject of takeovers by larger banks trying to recoup loses or stop competition?

Funny you mention that... I just read the online Tennessean article about the Nashville economy. Apparently it's more optimistic (less pessimistic?!) than most other areas in the country.

IMO the Tennessean puts a negative spin on everything.
