West Baden Springs Hotel to Reopen This Summer

For the first time in over 70 years, the West Baden Springs Hotel will open its doors to overnight guests. This is a remarkable feat of historic preservation. I just hope that the relatively high room prices are sustainable- $229 and up per night.

I have seen the building before, it is truely a landmark, and probably one of the most beautiful things in Indiana, and the midwest. It has the third largest unsupported dome in the world, and amazing marble work, stone work, plaster work, woodwork, etc , etc. The dome is the thriller of the building, with its large chandelier, and its ornate details, the structure was one of the most famouse hotels in the world at one point, especially for its springs that were said to give youthfulness.
