Ah Ha! Good catch, I had my doubts about it too. If you look at the picture it features a beautiful clock. A railway company built the "Union Station" on that same property. I think I may have misunderstood that picture, because I believe I've seen other pictures of Union Station reusing some of the features of its predecessor, mainly the clock.

Actually, I think that the picture was taken after 1890. The clothes and the railroad car, along with the fact that it was clearly taken inside the train shed, indicate to me a picture taken around 1910 or possibly even later.

And didn't this building get knocked down in the sixties as well? Damn fools! :shok:

Out of curiosity I Goggled "Grand Rapids Union Station" to see if I could find any interesting references. According to the link below, it was designed by Daniel Burnham. It would be nice to find some collaborating evidence but that
