Biodiesel Plant coming to LR

Green Way Bio Energy has plans to build a biodiesel plant at the Port of LR on a six acre site. Groudbreaking is set for next month and construction should begin in november. They plan on producing 10 million gallons per year.

There was another recent news article aboutt a fuel station at I-630 and Chester (I believe) will begin selling BioWillie. BioWillie is a product of Earth Biofuels. Willie Nelson (a principal in Earth Biofules) has let his name be used in the branding for their bio diesel product. Other principals in the company include Julia Roberts, Morgan Freeman and Rusty Wallace (spokesman). http://www.earthbiofuels.com/ also http://biowillie.com/.

It is possible that one of the new local biofuel companies could be bought up by Earth Biofuels. The strategy of Earth Biofuels is to expand throughout the Southeast. They have been acquiring both biodiesel and ethanol production and distribution facilities in the south. The most recent acquisition was and ethanol facility in Louisiana.
