The Blanco Riverwalk is a major mixed-use project planned for 238.3 acres in San Marcos that will have about a mile of riverfront development. The project will also have frontage on I-35 and will be located about 26 miles south of Austin and 45 miles north of San Antonio. A total of 2,750,000 sf of building space is planned for the Blanco Riverwalk that will consist of:

765 condominium units

895,000 sf of retail space

400,000 sf of medical and office buildings

440 hotel rooms consisting of two 120 room suites hotels and a 200 room full service boutique hotel

5,000 seat outdoor amphitheater

The project is expected to go before the San Marcos planning commission on April 25 and could make it to the city council in June.

The San Marcos City Council approved this project last month. The entire project is expected to cost about $450 million.
