I'm curious about which road projects are currently in progress or yet to happen.

I'm aware of the 26 Connector in West Asheville. I assume a new bridge over the French Broad River will carry traffic for both 26 and 240. That leaves the Smokey Mountain Bridge available for repairs or replacement while the Pattan Avenue interchange gets a major overhaul.

US 25's Connector in Hendersonville has been slated for widening for a couple decades now. Is there any given time to when this will be finalized?

None of these will happen in our lifetimes...unless we can move Asheville to Eastern North Carolina.

It appears that the Goldsboro to Wilson freeway is a much more important connection to make. They are both traffic-clogged and are economic powerhouses that make NC a ton of money in tax revenue.
