They do make a difference,This is the first council meeting of the year under a new chairmanship so would be good to set a development oriented tone like last year.  You can address to Councilwoman Kristen Nye in your message and definitley reference the ordinance number.

Hi UP - if you could take a minute to consider this petition I think it'd be a well worth it few minutes. RVA YIMBY with our partner chapters have spearheaded an umbrella group under the moniker 'Commonwealth Housing Coalition' which is lobbying for a number of supply side focused pro-development bills for this years General Assembly Session. Homeowners in Richmond City, Henrico or Chesterfield -  i have forwarded this survey from the community land trust gauging homeowners' interest in ADUs given the relaxed requirements. esp. in Richmond but overall. If you can, give them some of your thoughts! - thanks!

SB 304 was heard in subcommittee this morning, and the committee's members are taking extra time to consider the bill. That means we have an additional opportunity to make our voices heard in support of ADUs! You should have just received an email that reminds you to complete the call to action from earlier this week, plus one more:

 Written public comments are skewing heavily in opposition to SB 304, so we need YIMBY Action activists to get in there and speak positively about the need for ADUs. You can complete this action even if you've already emailed your legislator or contacted the committee. Simply click this link, check the box to provide written comments, fill out your info and click SB 304 as the bill you're commenting on. If you need help framing your thoughts, feel free to use the information in this template. However, because this is public comment, keep your message short, original, and focused on your own experience. We don't want to flood the website with copied-and-pasted content.
