Went to Hunter's Station on Sunday. There's just three tenants, Hugh Baby's, Vui's, and a new Acai Bowl place. Comments in the East Nashville facebook page and the Nashville subreddit indicate that Hunter's Station owners recently jacked up rents to their tenants.

So unfortunate. I see a market for a place like HS... not sure it's being done in the best way but I went there a few times with business cohorts and once with my family. I enjoyed the different options and ample places to sit.

Just a note, this will be downtown at the same time. Plan accordingly. 

 

Also, I don't think meeting outside is a bad idea. Just need somewhere that offers some shade.

2) November we are keeping it the Saturday after Thanksgiving. 11/25. Location TBD.

Hey all! Due to the Holidays we will be hosting our final Urbanist meetup of 2023 this coming Saturday (12/16) from 10am until noon at Turnip Truck (701 Woodland Street) in East Nashville. We will be meeting on their mezzanine level which can be accessed via the stair directly adjacent to the checkout lanes.

Possible topics of conversation may include (please feel free to ask or bring up others though):

• 2024 Transit referendum
• Connect Downtown Plan
• Holiday trains, past & present
• Main Street/Gallatin Pike - water main & street re-design project (public meeting tonight (12/14) at East Park Community Center, 5:30 to 7:00)
• Nash General Hospital relocation to Ted Rhodes playing fields
• Your Urbanism wishlist for 2024

February 24th meetup will be at Copper Branch. Time: 9:30am - 11:30am. To give folks time to get to The Pedestrian Memorial event.

We will be hosting our monthly urbanism meetup this coming Saturday, February 24th, at the Cooper Branch (601 Church Street). As DJ mentioned above, we have moved our start/end times up by 30 minutes (9:30am to 11:30am) to allow folks to move over to the Pedestrian Memorial starting at noon. Feel free to join us at the normal time and stay a little longer if conversation keeps you around.

Roundtable: Sharing personal stories about housing
NEST Zoning bills - of course! - These bills were brought up in the Coffeehouse and also in the Nashville Bits and Pieces
Transit Referendum (assuming we get an announcement)
Learning how to get more involved locally
