It looks like the 2D map was updated just a couple months ago, while the 3D map for downtown Orlando was updated around 2016. Does that mean the 3D update is coming soon?

The 2D map images are from 11/26/2019, not sure why the 3D is still on 2017. The late 2018 images were released in March, not sure why this last round took so long to update

Speaking of Google Maps, you can now upload your own images to street view...

"Google Maps users will be able to submit their own Street View images from their phones. Specifically, people can do this by recording a series of connected images while they move down a street or path. After that footage is recorded and published, Google will automatically rotate, position, and combine the images."

Downtown Orlando's Google Maps 3D view updated a few months ago for the first time since 2016. Surprisingly, it got updated yet again very recently to add a completed "Society" 28-story tower and a few other updates here and there.

Is it possible to create a google earth local or shared file with 3D mockups of the proposed construction?  It would be really neat to be able to visualize a future skyline.

Resurrect SkyscraperCity.com/Orlando

I used to go on there. I don't think it has any chance of being resurrected, and two Orlando forums would stretch us too thin I think.
