I am on a little quest to find some info on my roots, so I'm stopping in New Mexico and Kansas this week. A few pics.

Finally, On my quest to explore my family roots, I stopped in Abilene,  Kansas where my mother was born.  Her Grandfather was an entrepreneur well known in Kansas and Colorado and built several developments in both states. 

In Abilene, he and his partners  built the 8 story Sunflower Hotel which was considered one of the finest hotels in either state.

They also built a 10 story building in Salina,  Kansas  which was the tallest between Kansas City and Denver. 

So, you can see that urban development is in my DNA.
