& a block north at 1701 Roseneath (Blackwood Development?) has re-awoken and is currently pursuing  a parking modification  to original SUP which should be a 7 story project.

Yeah - man - that's incredible to think about in total. Including the Cap Square project, that would be THREE major residential projects going up on three blocks directly across the street from the Otis -- one to the west, one to the north and one to the east.

That whole section of Scott's Addition is going to be completely transformed over the next few years.

To bring the mood of the area up a little, Capital Square, 352 apartments across three 7-story buildings is underway

 

Work on the 6 story co-housing has broken ground

 

And of course The Ace is well underway

 

Also a fence around the Hardees where Shamin plans to build a 12 story hotel

@RiverYuppy -- I'm several days late and several dollars short: I mean to post your MUCH DESERVED award this past week (since you posted  your incredible photo collection last weekend) - and somehow didn't get around to it.

THAT SAID: you have MORE than earned a freshly polished piece of RVA/UP Silver Hardware for your EPIC collection of drone photography of RVA projects and developments. These are some of the best pictures - and several of them are worthy for nomination for 2024 RVA/UP Photo of the Year (so folks, if you'd like to submit nominations from River Yuppy's awesome collection, please do so!) I'm posting your award HERE since your Scott's Addition photos give some glimpses of developments that otherwise are hard to see, such as the Outlier. Also - love that you included the Hardee's/Shamin AC Marriott hotel site as well. Gives us some really good perspective on what's to come for that part of Scott's.
