While Hartford is not in the mix, it puts the city very near the top for any re-location of current franchises. Movement, as we well know, is a normal part of NHL life.  If we have a new arena on the table, a return to the league is much closer than in the past.

honestly, we need an arena before anything could ever be discussed.

 

the one good thing is that this essentially silences Canada.

Toronto2 and Quebec city are the last two places worth of a team in Canada.  I mean I just dont see any other options up there, including Hamilton, if Toronto 2 happened
