here are some pics i got while we were in lexington. the new library at UK is awesome! i can't wait to study there when i visit my girlfriend. if you haven't seen this in person, it's made from fabric. pretty cool. the indoor pics are blurry because i didn't use a flash and i was just kind of shooting from the hip. i sharpened them a little, but they're still not great.

GTA will start running busses every 30 minutes starting january 2nd. http://www.greensboro-nc.gov/Departments/GDOT/divisions/gta/ hopefully this will lead to more people riding greensboro's busses. if you haven't taken the bus in greensboro yet, you should definitely consider it after january 2nd. the busses are clean and surprisingly quiet compared to other busses i have ridden.

nice pics! i have been looking for more photos of lexington now that my girlfriend has decided to go to UK dental school. does anyone have any more pics? i will be visiting in 2 weeks and i'll be taking my camera. i'm sure i'll take tons of pics while we're scouting out a place for her to live.

i was there on openning weekend too. it's a really cool place. i'm gonna go back sometime with enough people to fill a raft. that should be fun.

i take murrow blvd off of lee street home every night on my way back from burlington. i live off of battlegroud in northwest greensboro and it's by far the fastest way to go when there is little traffic. it really is rarely traveled at any time of day though. with the new 840 loop open, there will be even less of a use for murrow for anyone coming off the interstate and travelling to north greensboro so it probably won't be a big deal.

yeah, i was there this afternoon and went into the rei. it's pretty cool but it does feel kind of empty. i hope the traffic flow will improve once the HT, brooks brothers and other stores are open, but i can't imagine how the traffic will get better when there are more stores open. it felt a little cramped driving through there though. maybe it's just the grand opening traffic.

that is true, but there are some nice mature trees over there too. it would be nice if they could keep a couple.

that's what i'm wondering. where are they gonna put residential? also, the "villaige" type development on the corner of north elm and pisgah church road is gonna have some residential too i think. these projects remind me of some of the newer stuff down in ballantyne.

i always referred to the BI building as the exo-skeleton building. i thought it was cool too, but when a company goes under, it's better that something else goes in there than to have that building sit vacant for years. it would have been cool to re-develop it, but again, what's going on now will be better than nothing.

i always hated that HT parking lot. it will be good that they're going to be able to create a better parking situation, especially since the new store will be even bigger than the current taj ma'teeter

i remember watching a special about the sears tower on NGC. some of the people who worked in the building talked about having pens roll off their desks, and hearing that eerie creeking sound.

i really liked walking around that area when we went to the aquarium. the aquarium T station is nice too. i never saw what a mess it was before they cleared the artery. do you have any pics?
