Was anything ever decided from the Baldwin st, jenison/I-196 interchange? And when is i-196 from E-Beltine - College getting redone, that section has to be the worst!

Help me out here... Michigan St. runs infront of the van andel institute, Fulton runs in front of the van andel arena. Which one is it?

I haven't read through most of this, but with DET seeming "sure" on having mass-transit, how far away are we? I realize our governer loves S.E. michigan, but we're the more progressive thinkers, and have the money and resources to get it done. Will they put through lite rail before we do?

Remember though, this has been in the works for a great number of years, so who knows when the original pledge was made.

i'm still in shock about the $20MILLION dollar figure. I knew Secchia loved MSU, and Grand Rapids, but that is such a large amount.... It's definately wonderful that we have residents who love Grand Rapids, and are willing to put their fortunes back into it.

It's all about getting the word of our MSU kingdom out. And a presence in GR is huge. The Fab-five was just a team, but there are tons of kids from my generation that atleast applied to michigan based on them and their popularity.

The dean did say the drawings were preliminary - right now it seems to be an extension of the other buildings going in. I expect a little differentiation when the final renderings are approved.

Suprised the stupid news could ever make it that succinct. 55+15=70m. I really like all of the progress, but it's SO grating to hear some of the local media get so entirely excited for these projects they just make up details, or don't do the legwork on them. (Insert Geha - rivergrand here.)

So MSU pays $15M for the building, and Spectrum pays $70M for the building, resulting in an $85M building?

It's pretty neat driving under McCormick place in Chicago, that place looked like a traffic nightmare when it was being built! BTW - Why all the hate on Secchia? Seems like a bunch of Urbanites are making unneccesary snide comments.

It doesn't look any different than it did 6 months ago... Like a giant cartoonish hospital. The rock work and bridge outfront look impressive though. -
The work papers are also from 2005.... who knows how much has changed since then.

Secchia flies on the team plane a lot to away sporting events. I really like hearing him on local sports radio pimping MSU! Someone here may or may not be an MSU alum!

Who removed it? I think Grand River Construction is doing the work currently up to grade, but the bid for the above grade work is awarded tomorrow (IIRC)

I can't tell from that photo, is that the turn-around for the entrance for the L.H. From what I gather - it is going to be a very very impressive round-about.

Sparky my friend, the FedEx's are a310's, we have some a320's some a319's, a bunch of DC-9's, and yes, a few 737's and one 757-200. It's landing at 9:02 tonight! It is a united from ORD. I don't know if it is just for the season or what, but it has landed 4 nights in a row! It's UAL490 ftr. And a boatload of Gulfstream G-V's. I love how Alticor created a company called G5 leasing, and leases all of its G5's out to Alticor. Brilliant!
