Geez Jay - you went from really obvious to particulary difficult! Well done!
Can we play hot/cold for clues? I'm going to guess that it's somewhere out by the airport.
It's on the SE side of town. Next question?

New Blurry Grand Rapids pix are back from the blurry developing center and are on the blog. 200 points up for grabs.
-
Some randomness:
The RAPID's new Bus Drag Racing event to improve ridership and driver morale
You know... that stretch of Fulton was the frontstretch of the Grand Rapids Grand Prix course. I always thought that a bus race would spice up the activities.
-
OK... more blurry pictures coming this week. There's going to be a good mix of easy and hard quizzes. But first!!! ... a blue Calder???
-
UICA. You should maybe switch to landmarks or signs Jay, instead of buildings. We're all about buildings around here.
Maybe I should switch to cracks in the pavement
-
HH would be a great place to go for Blurries. Its a very well known area yet still having some obscure buildings that might challenge us folks.
Tune in next week for some obscurity.
A very easy 10 points is up on the blog and waiting to be claimed.
-
Sounds like jay needs to find some more obsure buildings to photograph, seems like someone gets these right in about ten seconds
It's hard to fool this bunch
I try to mix in local landmarks with harder to identify places. I've got a few strange places lined up. There will be more obscure blurry pix coming soon to a blog near you.

Super easy one! It's the WOOD TV-8 building on College!
Looks like GRDad beat me to the punch by one minute though!
GRDad gets the 60 bonus points!!! Starrfish gets 42 extra super bonus points for being gracious in second place.
-
There's a new blurry grand rapids picture on the blog. You get 60 bonus points if you can correctly identify what building is in the picture.

Yes, with a whole new "off-topic" Coffee House, not as many people make it to the Watering Hole.
Here's my contribution. Just as I thought, Z's outside patio is going to be THE after-work hangout this summer to watch the Marriott construction progress. I drove by the other evening and it was packed!
Z's is usually a good 5:15pm option downtown. (However, I wouldn't know lately... the past year or so if I've ended up there it's around midnight in the middle of the week and it's dead) The Marriott sideshow should be a cool talking point this summer. Parts of Plaza Towers also have a good view.
I'll start giving out more Bonus Points if that's what it will take to drive more traffic to the Watering Hole. I've got a whole bag of points and a camera full of blurry pix

Drive your scooters, bicycles, or motorcycles today! Take the streets!
For some reason, after reading that, I've now got the lyrics to Cake's Rock & Roll Lifestyle in my head...
"How much did you pay for your bad Moto Guzzi?"
My brain works in very strange ways
-
Its on the east side of LaGrave near Weston if I have my streets right
yup. you're both right. do you want to fight over the bonus points? oh, alright... you both get 20.
-
New blurry GR picture up on the blog with 20 points on the line. I'm going to try to post a few more this week, Internet connection/health/mood permitting.
-
I just found a spam blog called "grand rapid: grand rapid Useful Information" --- I hate spam blogs. But a spam blog trying to make money with AdSense that incorrectly spells the name of the city it's trying to exploit... that's just bizarre. The link is on my blog if you really need to see it.
-
I just blogged about the property on Market / possible future strip club that has been in the news this week.
I was able to get a nice blue-purple glow to the sky in the background of the pic. Don't ask me how; I have no idea what I'm doing with a camera.
-
crap, i guessed on your blog, but after I noticed people already posted the answer.
Correct! dbrok also gets some points because he posted the correct answer on my blog. He gets the full 30. grrwymg will also get some. he backed his way into answering with a "maybe" qualifier, but he had the right idea.
Cheers

Too bad your blog isn't called "jaybloggers Perfectly Crystal Clear (NOT BLURRY) blog"
Then maybe I could make a good guess.
The walls sort of remind me of the Red Cross on Fuller ... but that's not it...
Yes, that is it. It's the Grand Valley Blood Center on Fuller.
I don't know if I should give you the points or not
-
yo yo yo... another Blurry Grand Rapids picture quiz is up. This pic is valued at 30 bonus points (it should be easier than the last one).
-
could it be the backside of Brassworks? My other guess is American Seating.
yeah, it's the north side of Brassworks.
Northender, GaryP and grrwymg get to fight over who gets the bonus points.
more to come soon... but it's now time for the Sopranos. later.
-
Near South Division and Cottage Grove?
Survey says no. Here's a hint: It's north of Fulton and west of Division.
-
Its in Heartside, just a click north of Wealthy? I'm thinking its west of the Herkimer..
Nope. Try again.
-
I've got a new Blurry Grand Rapids pic of the day on tap. 40 points on the line.
-
all 133 of you should come down to the BOB tonight and witness my grand rapids homecoming at the Crush for Sugar. I will be tearing up the turntables.
I'll be at The Intersection later tonight to see The National. It might be the last time I can say goodbye to the neighborhood before the demolition crews get there
Maybe a trip to Crush will be in order as well. When are you spinning?

the word "Metro" is no longer part of the forum title. it's now just "Grand Rapids" instead of "Metro Grand Rapids" ... is this a Michigan only thing, or is this an Urban Planet standards project?
The Watering Hole
in Grand Rapids Coffee House
Posted
Blurry Wyoming, Blurry Ada... Blurry West Michigan; it's all the same. BGR is for the metro area.
This picture today is close to a Grand Rapids/Kentwood border area on the Kentwood side. Think of SE area retail areas and ask another question.
Nope. Good guess. It's further to the south and east.
