  1. Ok....i've put up with it long enough...and this is how it is. I was a long time resident, still own a house in seversville, but recently moved on to greener pastures in chicago. if only you posters could realize how conceded your posts are coming across to others that are attempting to get beneficial, fun information within this blog. You all seem to desire the inclusion of a superior club and balk at the idea of someone else having a bit of joy or lack compasion and empathy whatsoever. So what if a bar/restaurant is having growing or opening pains. you can post the factual information...but your snarky and curt comments have become a real bummer. And for you know-it-alls who seem to think The Mint is a godsend....it is a bunch of sticks being passed off as high end, ultra luxury. Yes Charlotte is a great city (which is subjective)...and nowhere near the best (which is subjective). So please....go ahead and demand the moderator to delete this post...but for the sake of hoping for a bit of inclusivity....take your blinders off.
  2. So does anyone have an extra White Party ticket available for a young, strapping, curious lad such as myself? All my friends say theirs are spoken for. Who do I need to date to get one? Ha.
  3. Good luck with the reimbursement. I ate at the cafeteria and was charged twice for my meal and beverages. Once the gross price without tip, then second with net price included tip. I have called the billing dept. repeatedly with the only response that they are looking into it. That was two months ago. I’ve decided not to pursue the issue to instead not patronize the establishment. EVER AGAIN.
  4. Some of you may have noticed activity at the old Family Dollar and attached empty building to clear out the contents, but there is definitely a demolition permit open on the property. Case Number Property Address Inspector Name Inspector Phone Case Status Date Order Sent Neighborhood C20100000211 1600 W TRADE ST CHARLOTTE NC 28216 BRANDON BURGIN (704)336-3573 Open 9/13/2010 Biddleville Area
  5. Pamlico Partners, formerly known as Wachovia Private Equity, will partly occupy space in the 1 Bank of America Center.

Whoa Urbanity. The guy is purely stating a fact. Contrary to the fact that recent posts here have stated they would NOT lower their prices. Don’t take it so personal.

Funny you say that. This reminds me of Place Vendôme in Paris. I still have eight flats there.
  8. So what's wrong with kicking greyhound out via eminent domain? I know of several businesses that were forced to relocate from this area per eminant domain. How much vested interest does the government have in greyhound? Don't they help subsidize?
  9. As stated...the benefits are for both hetro and those in the LGBT community. Either way, get with it. Str8 people can marry....those in the LGBT community cannot. How does one start an impeachment process for Bill James?
  10. There is always the West Side up W. Trade. Wonder what that nickname would become?
  11. OK....so the next million dollar question.... What will be erected in the current Family Dollar's location?
  12. There has been a new posting for a Rezoning Petition on West Trade and Bruns Ave. Does anyone have any info on what kind of Retail Store this might be? http://www.charmeck.org/Departments/Planni...ns/2008-011.htm
  13. In response to BoA's commitment to retail space, they are planning a redesign to founders hall (in whole) and on the eastern side, adding street retail to college that faces the Ritz. Can you imagine staying at the Ritz and having to see an ugly wall.
