Those are some amazing concepts. I don't think y'all realize the magnitude of this project. It's engineering and structural architecture is completely original. It will put Louisville on the international map. It is incredible and will draw many tourists. Everyone's eyes are on Museum Plaza right now.

Awesome Pix!

what is the problem? Parking is time limited already so all they would have to do is enforce it. Workers could get decals or hang tags, limit parking to 2-3 hours for customers and make a note of tags that park for 8-9 hours more than two or three days consecutaively. After a warning, they would get a ticket or get towed. Problem solved.
Are underground parking garages out of the question for Norfolk City?

While I like the idea of a thread dedicated to Tyson's Corner, it's not really needed. I've been around there recently and there's actually nothing is being built right now, except 1725, which I thought would start construction by now, but hasn't. The pictures everyone has been showing is really all that's there, except for the mall, but it's not really urban-related.
I'll try to add some new pics of the buildings that are being built around the dulles tech corridor and reston.
But there is sooo much approved for construction.

I'm not sure who can move the Tyson's Pix to the Tyson's thread but can either Vdogg or Urbanvb, I tink, move em? Thanx!

More of Tysons, I think we should have a thread for only Tysons Corner!
This is an interesting approach!
I'm diggint the columns!
Check this urban landscape out! Pedestrian friendly is an understatement!
This should be in the running for VA's best!
Going, going!

This was the Capital One Tower going up.
I guess it's up already.
I wonder if it's occupied. Hey, we missed this whole construction, didn't we?

Here's a pic of Downtown Tysons Corner, though I think it is slightly out-dated.
This is my favorite tower in the Tysons area.
Here's one of the ultra-modern towers in Tysons!

I am thinking I may break up this thread at some point and incorporate its postings into the different threads here in the forum since most construction in the area is occuring in the burbs rather than the District itself. Any ideas or thoughts on this ?
I think that would be a good idea. As of now, developments are just kinda all over the place.

There's a series of seven towers approved for Tysons Corner. I found this at Emporis.com. Does anyone have any information on these? I have worn Google out searching for anything with no success.

There are two 30 story towers going up I Tysons. Does anyone have any pix of these?
1725 Tysons Corner will be the new tallest in Tysons Corner, if its buillt before the two 30 story twins. Here's a pic of it. Idn it purdy?

This article is a bit dated but it's an interesting read nonetheless Tysons Corner getting larger
Tysons Corner has many very new towers. I'll drop by to take some pix. Tysons buildings are clean and glass. A very modern skyline is developing there.

Anything involving the Mariner's Museum has my attention. I can spend hours there. Many don't know this but Newport News is internationally recognized by many because of the Mariners Museum. It supposedly has the largest collection of figureheads. The miniature ships are a huge lure also. When I last dropped by, there were visitors from all over the place.

Thank you Lord! That's the one! As you can see, I am having a little trouble with the system.
If you could some how get the pix of the new Mariner's Museum extension, that would be great!
Anyhow, I like the design and I think it will be a great addition to the community. It will increase the local standard of living. I would utilize it, that's for sure! I wonder if it would be someting very affordable, something like what Va Beach offers it's people. Va beach has awesome rec centers just for living there! I think they are free, or very inexpensive. Any one have info on that?

do you mean this one?
