  1. City population is pretty much meaningless in general. If going by city proper Charlotte is larger than Miami, Atlanta, and San Fransisco.
  2. I'm guessing the answer is no, but if Riverside were to see much stronger demand than they were anticipating is there any chance that they would/ would be able to bring the office tower back up to 42 stories? I know beggars cant be choosers but I hate how boxy the final design looks compared to the initial renderings.
  3. Don't think so, they just agreed to tear down the building as part of the land swap.
  4. Millenium Venture Capital is going to build a mixed use development with the remainder of their land and the city is going to hold the rest for a future hotel project.
  5. Not sure if this has been posted yet or not but sterling bay is planning to put 371 apartments on the Sandwich Max site. Given how small the site is I would assume that this would put it over 400'. Does anyone have any information on this?
  6. This is CCCPs most recent development report. It breaks down current and future residential units and office space between the four wards, South End, and Midtown. https://ctycms.com/nc-charlotte-ccp/docs/development-report-april-2023-reduced-size.pdf
  7. @KJHburg Unless something has changed I don't think that the residential is supposed to even break 500'. Everything I've seen/heard thus far has put the height around the upper 400's. I just don't know how the height could jump from 476' to 596' without an increase to the floor count. Of course I hope I am wrong and either way this is still a great development.
  8. @KJHburg did they say that it would be 596' at the groundbreaking today? Not that I don't believe you but 596' just seems extremely tall for 45 floors of residential.
  9. The base of the office tower looks awful compared to the first and second set of renderings.
  10. It's not 4x the size of the US open facility, It's 4x the size of a facility in Cary.
  11. Jason Thomas commented on Axios Charlottes post about Midnight Diner reopening, "Some news about the former site in about an hour or so on my page. Stay tuned :)." That was 45 minutes ago.
  12. According to that website the office tower is now only 30 stories and 525k square feet, however they are still using the same renderings. Are they referring to 30 stories on top of the parking podium or has the scope of the office been significantly reduced?
