  1. re: 301 Leonard development. They (Sun Title and Pinnacle Const.) just presented to the CNA Land Use Committee tonight. Lots of good feedback but I thought I'd share some details of the development here. 181 units (mostly studios and 1 bedrooms), 4 story horseshoe shaped building with the main frontage on Leonard, 1 small retail site with tenant tbd, ~80 onsite parking spots underneath the building, 56 bike parking spots. I may be missing stuff but either way, an exciting addition!
  2. New details included in presentation to the committee meetings this morning:
  3. Happy to see this and that a parking reduction was requested. Info found here. Curious to know how this site plan would change if parking requirements weren't a thing.
  4. This has been such a welcome surprise. I hope the City takes notice of what a positive reception and impact that this project has made! I always think of this map, which can be filtered down to all of the non-motorized they want to build, they just need political will and funding that comes with it.
  5. I've heard USL Championship League which definitely doesn't fall into the low level category although it is one division under MLS. Definitely rates a kickass downtown stadium!
  6. I bet there is a plan to get some more out-front outdoor seating on the side of the road
  7. Shaw is a fantastic chef and person, couldn't be happier that this is opening up nearby! The Creston Heights district is about to explode as far as things to do, places to hang out, and people to see.
  8. Strong Towns GR and others I'm sure are certainly planning to fight this tooth and nail. Some more integration into our public transit system would be my preferred solution. After all - there is (technically) a BRT stop right outside the park although more thought needs to be put into access to the zoo from that stop itself.
  9. Has REI ever done a small scale urban store like Moosejaw is? On another note - I love seeing how far GR has come since this post.
  10. They only plan on adding 65 additional parking to the already existing 100 spaces. Would that fit in to the current parking minimums of the City or will they have to go for a variance? Personally, I feel the less parking, the better. Let the "market" decide
  11. Did this meeting ever get rescheduled? Soccer rumor mill has been pretty quiet as of late... Still hopeful!
