  1. I am very excited about this project, top 3 for me in Charlotte. It’s disappointing to not see much progress on the tower but historic renovations are known to be complicated and require a lot of re-engineering as problems come up during construction. Pretty amazing to have this type of small footprint high rise construction in Charlotte. Last one like it was museum tower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Even still it’s not very well integrated (but not as bad as LU). Since this was (almost but not quite) a build to suit for Ally I was hoping for either underground parking or conditioned parking - like the older Wachovia buildings, where the curtain wall on the deck matches the tower Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Agree, the roof installation will be cool when complete. I like the idea of some broadway-style lighting in uptown. Now that parking deck on the other hand... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. you can’t compare the Manhattan condo market (which is incidentally cratering right now) to Charlotte. few markets outside of south Florida and NYC can support a high rise, there just is not enough demand here to support anything more than a boutique project. The risk profile of condo is in another league versus other forms of property development (contingent liabilities, etc) and very few developers/lenders have the stomach for it. 5. And Childress Klein for a great execution. The underground parking and historic preservation (sign, church etc) are top notch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
