There's an online traffic survey being conducted right now to potentially help ease traffic in the Short Pump area that closes Jan. 2nd. Make sure your voices are heard! Option 4 looks to be the best option to me. Major improvements at the current I-64/250 interchange and it includes a new diverging diamond interchange further west at N. Gayton! Imagine when construction begins and the cranes for these projects are up. Between this, CoStar's office tower and Avery Hall's planned 17-story apartment building (if approved), we could be potentially looking at 3+ cranes on the riverfront simultaneously! Being that these projects are high profile and not tucked away in the grid, Richmond visually is about to feel even more like a boomtown than it already is!

How about connecting Manchester to Rockett’s Landing via a new bridge over the James from the I-95 Manchester exit? If only the Richmond Wastewater Treatment Plant wasn’t in the way and could be relocated elsewhere as Ancarrow’s Landing looks to be prime real estate for a brand new neighborhood especially if it could be connected with a bridge into Rockett’s to help spur even more development towards the east connecting to Orleans Street and ending at Williamsburg Road. Just an idea..
